A couple of weeks ago I won a give away by Tina of The Enchanted Home, for a signed copy of Farrow & Ball: The Art of Color by Letta Austin Foster, designer extraordinaire.
To say the book is a feast for the eyes is an understatement. There is something magical on each page and of course they all feature Fallow and Ball products, both paint and wallpaper. I spent about an hour looking through it last night when it arrived and I could not even take in all of the wonderful details of every room. Each time I go back to it I find another beautiful detail that I missed the first time.
There are cottages, castles, lofts, and any other imaginable abode in this book and through each page we are transported around the globe and into the world of these fabulous homes and the designers who put them together. There is something for every taste.
If you like Farrow and Ball and beautiful design, check this book out the next time you are in the book store, it is a feast for the eyes and the soul!
Thank you Tina for hosting such a beautiful giveaway!
On that note, let me also mention that Sharon of Modern Country Style is hosting a Farrow and Ball give away! Go to Modern Country Style and follow the directions to win 3 sample pots of Farrow and Ball and then one lucky winner will also receive 5 litres of the paint of their choice! What a great opportunity to try out a wonderful product.

Hi Elizabeth,
Nice post. I notice in one of those pictures is a set of etchings above a mantle, not too disimilar to yours!
Hope you're having a good week so far 🙂

Hi Elizabeth..sooo glad it arrived!! Isnt' it a great book? Mine has become a time worn "go to" book and I never tire of looking at the seriously gorgeous old world rooms in it!! Thanks for the "shout out" it couldn't have been won by a nicer person!!
Elizabeth, this book speaks to me too!!
Love the style…
Enjoy! What a marvelous and generous gift from Tina.
Dianne noticed the etchings, but the pears on the mantle (your dining room) are what jumped out at me! Similar, non?
I just had my cup of pumpkin hot chocolate, I do believe I am addicted 😉
I use a little shortcut and add pumpkin pie spice..decadent!
Wishing you a lovely Wednesday,
xoxo

GOOD MORNING BEAUTIFUL FRIEND!
Like always, I am late, but always happy to come to see what you are up to! WHAT A GREAT BOOK to just take in a corner with a cup of something HOT and dream…or rather, PLOT and PLAN for your own home!
Now off to work……BIG HUGS TO YOU! Anita
Elizabeth, I cannot wait to read this book! I saw it at the Farrow and Ball store in Los Angeles and I will now run out and get it after you excellent review. I never tiring of beautiful and inspiring design books. They are one of the pleasures I always look forward to. xx Sunday
Elizabeth,
Try this – Use picnik – you can try 1000x288pixels but this is is a horizontal orientation. I saw from your blog that you're using a vertical one. But you can proportionately adjust the size, lets say 1000×576 pixels.
I used these numbers and it worked perfectly. Email me – nmsullivan0909[at]gmail.com if you need to.
Joy and lovely blog!

Hello Elizabeth
My entire house is painted in Farrow & Ball colours, both inside and out. This is a wonderful book which I loved looking at, and have just given it to a friend to enjoy too 🙂
