Hermes Paris Windows for Christmas 2011

December 14, 2011 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 5 Comments

In addition to the museums, churches, cups of chocolate chaud and kir royals, and of course eating everything from eclairs, crepes, sandwich fromage and any other thing that took to my fancy we did manage to do a little shopping both window and otherwise.

The windows in Paris run the gamut from really fabulous, to weird, to down right ugly and head scratching. These photos show the Hermes windows, and although they are pretty I liked the ones from last year better…perhaps it had something to do with all of the macaroons last year. In any case I love the Birkin bag and I love the craftsmanship of Hermes.

What do you think? A little too much gold?

I hope that you are having a great week. Only 9 more days until Christmas Eve! Are you running behind? Or are you finished with everything and sitting back and enjoying the season? I am finished shopping, wrapping and shipping. Now I am baking. I will be finshed by the weekend! Yippee.

More recipes and Paris this week! If you are weary of the Paris photos sorry, I am trying not to overshare.

Don’t forget to go here to track Santa with your kids or your grandchildren. It is actually a pretty cool site. NORAD has done a great job.

Those windows are gorgeous! I was in Paris in October and Hermes was decorated to the hilt with fall foliage and flowers. Such beauty there. Thanks for sharing their Christmas windows.

We would go blueberry and peach picking with my grandmother and fill bushels of peaches to take home for her to bake with and the can for the winter. I’m not sure how much help we were because I am pretty sure that we are our body weight in peaches. We were a sticky mess by the end of the day with a belly full of Michigan’s finest peaches.
