I’m Back! Happy Friday!

January 6, 2012 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 11 Comments

I am back and lucky for me it is Friday!

I am feeling much better today, nothing that a few days of bed rest, at least 4 boxes of Kleenex, copious amounts of vitamin C and numerous cups of cocoa cannot cure or at least make being sick a little easier.

Do you have plans for the weekend? I am waiting to watch Downtown Abby on Sunday and probably going to go to a library book sale on Saturday.  Can one ever have enough books?

I am also going to do a little baking, as I have lots of ingredients from Christmas to use up. I think I will make a Chocolate Bread pudding with 3 kinds of chocolate and a panettone.

It sounds good  but I think I will reserve judgement until I try it out. I will let you know!

What are your plans for the weekend? The weather in many parts of the country, mine included, it frightful, and freezing! Be safe, and keep warm if you are in one of those places, if you are somewhere warm and sunny, enjoy and think of us!

One last thing! Today is my younger sisters birthday! Happy Birthday Arlene!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you!

I hope that this year brings you everything that you wish for! I love you!

Elizabeth, dear friend, I'm so glad to know you are feeling better!!! Enjoy a restful weekend. I have Downtown Abbey on my DVR, and I have yet to watch. Can't wait!
Happy Birthday to your dear sister…I love that list of "wishes". Hope her birthday is just grand!!
I'm sorry the weather is freezing chez toi. It is unseasonably warm here, but as Suzanne knows, the incredible sunrises and sunsets have been the glorious pink and lavender of winter!
    Be well, beautiful friend!
(Enjoying all of your goodies SO much!) ;))

This is how I feel tonight, as if I am seeing life This is how I feel tonight, as if I am seeing life through the blur of tears and sorrow. Sunday night my friend of 34 years lost her husband of 36 years, because of Covid he did not get to meet or hold his newborn grandson. Then just an hour ago we received a call that my husbands best friend died of a massive heart attack this morning. Sometimes life just knocks you to your knees and all you can do is pray for the loved ones you’ve lost, cherish their memories and let your time with them sustain you until you meet again. Then you ask God for the strength to get up and move forward. #life #loss #givemestrength #givemestrengthlord #pray
