Last night we had a winter storm here in Milwaukee, less than predicted here but apparently pretty bad down in Chicago. I do love a good snowfall especially on the weekend. Obviously that means a little time to sit back and take it all in, from inside the house or out; perhaps a message from nature to take time to relax. You can get out there and be a kid and make a few snow angels or a few snowmen!
Or perhaps stay inside and make some cocoa, some crusty bread and some soup or some tasty treats. What are your plans for the weekend?
I snapped these photos this morning, I may have to get out there and make one of my own, I do love a good snowman.

How cute! Snoopy! |
Today I am headed to visit friends, and then will be making a banana cake that I saw on Pinterest. I will let you know how it turns out! Enjoy your day!
On a side note I have to tell you that there are still GOOD no make that GREAT people in the world! I am just in from shovelling snow at my mothers. I love to shovel but I hate the bottom of the drive where the plow deposits what seems like all of the snow from the entire street in your drive. As I was starting that dreaded task a man dove by with a plow and stopped to tell me he would do the hardest part for me! I do not know this person, neither do my parents, and when I thanked him profusly and offered to pay him but he declined. Thank you so very much to this good Samaritan, who ever you are, your parents raised you well!

Isn't that beautiful? What a kind man…
Dear Elizabeth..you really did get THE snow! 🙂
I love those adorable snowmen and Snoopy! We had a couple of inches yesterday, but no "real" fort building…YET!
Stay warm and cozy..that banana cake looks yummy.
Enjoy family and friends, dear Elizabeth!

PRECIOUS FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!! You most definitely got hit while we are here with nice dusting and COLD WEATHER! I think a good pot of tea is in order for me tonight after I get some orders filled for my shop! I am freezing here, even with the heat on! THANK YOU for visiting today. It is always through the grace of God's people that we find another perspective to make it through the craziness of life. THANK YOU for your kind words my dear friend. HEY! I wore the blue scarf today as I went out to run errands…it is so warm.
BLESSINGS! Anita
Its always so nice to come across genuinely good people isn't it? I wish we had snow! My kids are dying for a snow day, which we rarely get. Your pictures are so pretty, well we can continue to dream about getting snow. Have fun.
We had a much lighter then predicted snowfall too but the husband still got outside all day with Dylan dog and burned brush. I happily stayed inside watching the snow fall.
Enjoy your Sunday!

No snow in sight in England..not yet. Thanks for your comment Elizabeth and enjoy your time in Millwaukee…Jeanne xx
What wonderful snow and I love the Snoopy! How clever. What a kind man, we never really have a problem here with shovelling snow, as Jeanne says none so far this winter here in London, though there have been several blankets of snow in Scotland.
Enjoy your beautiful winter, Jude x
Oh, enjoy the snow! Isn't it fun! Just the perfect kind of day to stay indoors and be warm and cozy! Enjoy the day and "Downton Abbey" tonight!
