Downton Abbey & Ralph Lauren a Perfect Match

February 17, 2012 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 6 Comments

I have always been a huge fan of Ralph Lauren, I love his classic looks and always find something in every collection, especially Fall, to wear.

To me Ralph Lauren represents an old English, “country pile”, relaxed elegance. Pair that with Downton Abbey which swept through  England and now America and you have a match made in heaven, fashion heaven I guess.

I am on the edge of my chair just thinking about Downton Abbey this weekend. I cannot believe it is the last episode of the season. I guess if there is any consolation it is Christmas at the Abbey and all of my English blog friends said this episode is the best of the season and ties up several loose ends. I hope tying up the loose ends does not include Mr. Bates going to jail! I wonder if we will see a bit more of  Patrick? Will Mary and William progress or will they be held back by Sir Richard? Whatever happens I am sure that it will be fabulous.

What are your plans for the weekend? Will you be relaxing? Or do you have chores? Traveling or staying put? I think I will be doing some relaxing, some work, and a bit of traveling; sure to be a busy weekend that is for sure.

Whatever you do my friends, I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Be safe and enjoy.

    Hello darling Elizabeth ~
Yes, I love the world that
    RL fashion evokes. I truly
would wear any of the black
    dresses that you featured.
I didn't know that this Sunday
will be the last DA, Season 2!
I really savored last week's two
    hour episode, breaking it down
    into two viewings.

It's a long weekend and the boys
are off to Colorado, so it's just me
and MY Elizabeth, enjoying a girl's
weekend. A lot of home and a few
outings; the perfect balance that we
    both love!

    Happy Saturday,
    xx Suzanne
