Pinterest Inspiration for National Grilled Cheese Month

April 27, 2012 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 9 Comments

Happy Friday! I am so glad it is Friday,  I have so many things I want to do this weekend and I need the time to do them all, not just squeeze them in after work. I am gathering sources for a bathroom renovation, trying some new recipes,  a few DIY projects that I saw on other blogs, and reading two good books. It is going to be a great weekend!

Thank you to all of my new followers and to all of the people who left such kind comments and sent me lovely emails about my Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and my Slutty Brownies. I am humbled by your compliments.

Grilled goat cheese and Nutella from Very Culinary

One of the recipes that I want to try this weekend is grilled cheese. I wrote the other day that it is National Grilled Cheese Month, and being from Wisconsin it is only right that I do my part to celebrate cheese!

Grilled ham, cheese and onions from Cookinginsens

You did know that April is National Grilled Cheese month didn’t you( I did not until the other day)? Although I have several cookbooks devoted solely to grilled cheese sandwiches I thought I would go to Pinterst and look for some pin-spiration!

Bacamole Grilled Cheese

I have discovered so many new and interesting combinations that I do not think I can make them all, I would have to have one sandwich for all three meals, starting today.

Mozzarella Grilled Cheese with Basil Pesto Sauce
Rosemary Apple grille cheese from Professional Palate

French Onion Grilled Cheese Sandwich from The Kitchen of a Navy Wife

Grown Up Grilled Cheese from the Barefoot Countess via Pink Parsley

What do you think? Is there anything here that you already make or that you might try?

Pear and rosemary honey with Havarti cheese from Foodie Crush

I hope you find some Pin-spiration here! And I hope that you enjoy a fabulous weekend. I will let you know how my grilled cheese experiments go. In addition to all of the savory choices you know that I am going to be making something sweet, that is yet to be decided.

ENJOY!

NOTE: I had a few problems with Pinterest, there are two images here that I could not reach the original source thru Pinterest, the link went to spam. I am so sorry if these are your yummy sandwiches and ideas. I will try again.

I do a little post on grilled cheese too a week or so ago! But this is awesome!!! Great ideas to try.

On another note, when you need an image source, go to Google images, click on the little camera icon on the search bar and upload the image from your desktop, you can hopefully find the original source that way although sometimes difficult to figure out which one is the original as we all love the same images and they get posted over and over again.

I knew it was grilled cheese month from one of my cooking magazines they featured like twenty different grilled cheese sandwiches. The husband is going to get tired of them because I have to try them all!

This is how I feel tonight, as if I am seeing life This is how I feel tonight, as if I am seeing life through the blur of tears and sorrow. Sunday night my friend of 34 years lost her husband of 36 years, because of Covid he did not get to meet or hold his newborn grandson. Then just an hour ago we received a call that my husbands best friend died of a massive heart attack this morning. Sometimes life just knocks you to your knees and all you can do is pray for the loved ones you’ve lost, cherish their memories and let your time with them sustain you until you meet again. Then you ask God for the strength to get up and move forward. #life #loss #givemestrength #givemestrengthlord #pray

Good afternoon friends, it’s a frigid day here. Good afternoon friends, it’s a frigid day here. How is it in your “neck of the woods?” We took a long road-trip a few weeks ago to the beautiful @colonialwmsburg . I love this place, there is so much to see and do and even wearing masks and social distancing you can still enjoy the history and the beauty of this living museum. Today I am home doing the weekend chores, and of course doing a little baking.
