Hand painted birds! |
Hello! Wow, Wednesday already? Seriously, the week is flying by! I have so, so much stuff to do before my guests get here tonight I feel like I am running in circles. It is crazy.

Completely HAND lettered! |
But before my life goes completely off the rails, I wanted to tell you about a great sale going on this weekend! I have been meaning to post about this for a couple of weeks but I had to wait until I had a few more photos( you cannot rush greatness). If you remember this fabulous table(above) I showed you last year, it was painted by my good friend Marian.
Marian is a trained artist and in addition to her watercolors, oil paintings, sculptures, pastels and murals she is also a decorative painter. She receives commissions from all over the country for her decorative paint finished rooms, from Venetian Plaster, to Silver and Gold leaf ceilings, to faux marbling, and so much more.

Hand Painted Linen Seat and chair! |
An unbelievable artist, decorative painter and all around gifted person.
She seriously can make trash into treasures.
This hand painted, antique tray is the top of this table that Marian made from some salvaged wood spindles, then painted, distressed and waxed.
Her talent knows no bounds.

Gold leaf finish around the drawers and the top! |
This weekend she is teaming up with another artist friend of ours Ann and will be showcasing a few of their hand painted, one of a kind pieces of furniture, accessories and more at the Raleigh Flea Market

Stenciled Dresser |
Savvy Salvage will be at the Raleigh Flea Market and I hope if you are in driving distance to the market that you go and check it out.
Let me tell you, this is no ordinary sale. There are so many beautiful items that you will not know where to look first. I had the pleasure to preview a few of the treasures before they were packed and ready for the drive. This is my FAVORITE piece!
I love this dresser! These little birds are beautiful!
And this hand towel rack, made with salvaged wood, hand forged iron handles and a hand painted bee(she even made the towels)!
These images show just a few of the one of a kind items that Marian and Ann will have for sale this weekend. If you are looking for something special for your home or for a gift, please come out and take a look.
And if you do not live near, than please tweet, or Facebook your friends that do! I am sure that Marian and Ann would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you! I hope you have a fabulous day!
The Raleigh Flea Market is on Blue Ridge Rd and Hillsborough and although I do not know the booth number it is located under a huge tree just outside of the main permanent building. There will be a big banner with their name and I believe that they will be set up under two tents.

Hi Elizabeth…what a great find. I hope you will be stocking up! Enjoy your guests…sending you best wishes from Saigon…

All these pieces are wonderful but I'm over the top about that inen painted seat cover. Unfortunately the show is a bit far for me to jump down for the day but I hope your friend has a great sale.
Relax, if I know you, you baked all kinds of wonderful treats for your friends. They'll be so busy eating they won't notice anything else. Enjoy your time with them and have fun!
