Good morning! Happy St. Nicholas Day! I hope that you woke this morning to find your shoes, or your stocking filled with a few small goodies, from St. Nicholas.

I know that not everyone celebrates the feast of St. Nick but it is a tradition in our family to wake to a stocking filled with an orange, nuts, and a few small gifts.

Good morning Elizabeth….nope I didn't find anything in my shoes this morning except maybe a little dog hair….lol, it's all good. I like the sound of your tradition but I'm a fraid the husband would mooan at it since he thinks I'm impossible to buy for even the smallest of gifts. I hope you're having a wonderful week!

WOW I haven't even hung one ornament or cleaned this HOUSE! I don't think St. Nick would want to leave anything in my shoes or stocking; they are full of dust bunnies!!!!!!!!
Same to you and the stocking look great.

Sadly, it's been two
years since my kids
remembered to leave
their shoes outside
their bedroom doors
for St. Nick, who used
to leave chocolate coins,
candy canes, fun X-mas
socks and little toys.
He'd probably be scared
at the men's size 12 he'd
have to fill, these days : ) !!
A tradition I loved and one
I hope they will continue
when they have their own
wee ones, someday….
Happy St. Nick's!

What a sweet tradition. We love Christmas eve and always have a special dinner that night. And of course a festive breakfast on Christmas morning. Happy St. Nick's!
Elizabeth when I was a child we celebrated St Nicholas Day. Thank you for reminding me of those wonderful memories!
