Merry Christmas Eve

December 24, 2012 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 9 Comments

Christmas Eve

Albert S Reakes

Lanterns burn and bells are ringing.

To the woods the children go,

Picking evergreens and bringing,

Holly boughs with mistletoe.

Twilight comes as day is ending,

Then around the Yule log fire,

Young and old, their voices blending,

Carol in a tuneful choir

To mankind the revelation

Of the light that came to earth,

Joining in the celebration

Of the Savior’s lonely birth.

May the lone, the sad, the stranger

joy and blessedness receive;

come and worship at the manger—

This is the call of Christmas Eve.

Creche Notre Dame 2011

I hope you are having a wonderful, long weekend enjoying your family and friends. I am so incredibly happy to be surrounded with family, sad that one of my sisters could not come but happy that the rest of us are together. We are doing all of the things we love to do, bake, eat, shop, go for long walks and bike rides, watch movies, read magazines, and just be together.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas Eve! Have a blessed and happy day!
