Welcome to the Weekend: Friday Favorites

March 22, 2013 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 8 Comments

Wow! What a week, I have gone from freezing cold, snowy weather, to beautiful 70 degree days and now back to freezing cold, snowy weather.

At the same time I have put away 5 Christmas trees, hundreds of ornaments and other holiday paraphernalia and now have Easter bunnies and chocolate chicks piled in baskets for my guests.

Although I am trying to be a good blogger I am falling behind on commenting on my favorite blogs, I have been out reading though and this week these are my favorite finds.

An excellent book recommendation, from History and Women, Above All Things by Tanis Rideout.

An introduction to the fabulous photographer Brent Darby by The Zhush, you must visit his web page because his work is amazing, from interiors to travel and more.

Spring is upon us and I know many of us have trips planned for the coming months. Marsha at Splenderosa has the perfect travel wardrobe featured this week. I love it all.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to paint your walls black? I have, the closest I have come so far is a powder room and it is hot chocolate brown. At La Maison Boheme, Sarah is getting ready to paint her office black and she had a great post this week filled with beautiful inspiration rooms.

Speaking of beautiful rooms, at Little Emma English Home this week, a house tour of Anastasia Hutton-Summers’ white cottage. It is lovely.

For those of us that are experiencing a cold spell and unusual Spring weather, oh wait…I think that is all of us, here is a great list of soups to try from 101 Cookbooks.

And finally 48 Ways to Get Your Life in Order from Successify. This is a great list of suggestions with everything from healthy eating to getting rid of clutter as a way to get your life in order.

What about you, do you have a favorite post that you read this week?

I would love to hear about it as I am always curious to find new blogs, recipes and books.

I wish you a warm, wonderful weekend. Enjoy!

I like the colour black… it's the dominant colour of my wardrobe, but I can't see myself ever painting a room with that shade.

All that chocolate has me feeling hungry!
