I LOVE clouds and I love taking photographs of them even more. I am often amazed by their shapes, colors, and formations.
Sometimes they are so beautiful I find myself thinking that it is like someone took a paintbrush brush to the sky.
Although I often photograph clouds from the ground, my favorite place to photograph them is from my seat on the plane.
Recently while traveling I found myself with several hours to kill and happily snapped away. Although I always bring a book, an Ipad, and tons of magazines, sometimes it is just nice to look out the window and think or in this case take photos.
“The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious. And why shouldn’t it be? It is the same the angels breathe.”
~Mark Twain
“I’m a dreamer. I have to dream and to reach for the stars, and if I miss a star then I grab a handful of clouds.”
~Mike Tyson
“Clouds symbolize the veils that shroud God.”
~Honore de Balzac
“The sky is the daily bread of the eyes.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
“There are no rules of architecture for a castle in the clouds.”
~G.K. Chesterton
“Clouds are the sky’s imagination.”
~Terri Guillements
Do you ever take photos from the air? If not, try it the next time you fly, I promise that you will be amazed at the beauty just outside the window.

This is beautiful Elizabeth! You would have liked our clouds yesterday they were building one on top of the other until we had rolling lightening. The lightening rolled from one cloud to the next until it got lost among the clouds, it was stunning!

Wonderfull, as a child I loved lying on the grass looking at the sky and the clouds. It has been awhile since I just lay and looked at clouds, you have reminded me just what I am missing.
What beauty the heavens hold!
Beautiful pictures!
Gorgeous pictures!! I love the real puffy clouds. When we were kids we used to look at them and tell each other what they reminded us of! Simple days!!

These are quite remarkable Elizabeth. I could see blowing them up and creating a gallery wall with them, maybe your own exhibit:) Absolutely beautiful!
These are exquisite, Elizabeth…I never tire of looking at the clouds, and yesterday I was moved to begin a painting of sky, clouds, and sea! Your photos are inspiring me to paint more clouds…so very beautiful…thank you!
