Good morning! I am back from my mini-break and it was fabulous! A girls week with my sister, my niece, myself and my pup.
We frolicked in the ocean everyday with Orca.
Walked for miles along the sand with the waves lapping at our feet and watched the little birds run to and fro as they searched for snacks in the sand.
We looked for treasures from the sea; shells, sea glass, drift wood…
Other days we sat on the sand and watched my niece take lessons. I am told than learning a stand-up paddle board is harder than it looks.
We took breaks to visit gardens and historic houses; one garden was more beautiful than the next, especially the ones behind the gates. There is always something beautiful to see if you only take the time to look.
A few days we shopped for antiques, a dress for Homecoming, and back to school clothes.
I forgot to take a picture of the Homecoming dress or my new finds. I may have to do an entire post as I found so many great things.
We baked family recipes and reminisced about family holidays and adventures. We tried new restaurants and old favorites. We read, watched movies, and each evening we ended up back at the beach to walk in the waves and see the sunset.
I fell into bed each night exhausted but with a smile on my face as snippets of the days activities passed through my mind and the possibilities of tomorrows adventures lay ahead.
I already miss my family and they have only been gone a few hours. But I am happy to be back in Blogland. It will take me a few days to catch up with your comments and blogs but I am looking forward to seeing what you have been up to.
I hope that you have a great day.

Isn't it refreshing to see family? I had just a small taste of that in early June and it was great. THE BEACH!!!!!! You were there…now that is enough for me. Good to have you back my dear. Anita
Anita you are so right, it is so very nice to see family! I loved every second with them!
