Friday Favorites from Matchbook Magazine, Butiksofie, AFAR and More!

September 7, 2013 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 9 Comments

Good morning! It’s September, can you believe it? Literally overnight my deck went from being covered in crepe myrtle blossoms to yellow and brown leaves.

Image taken by me.

My farmers market and grocery store have pumpkins, squash and cinnamon brooms and last night I watched my very first Christmas cooking show. Wow I feel as if things are moving at warp speed.

As is the case every week I find many things to share, some you may already know of and some hopefully are new to you. I really enjoy learning about new books, places, etc so if you have something to share let me know.

It is no surprise that I LOVE magazines, and I was excited to discover a new one(new to me) while sitting at my dentist appointment this week( when I actually showed up on the right day). The magazine is a travel magazine called AFAR, do you know it? The photos are beautiful and the writing superb.

Although I prefer paper magazines I do have a few online favorites and Matchbook Magazine is one of them. This week the September issue came out and like all that have come before it is another that I wish would finally make it to a hard copy.

Image from Butiksofie

This was my lucky week for discovering new blogs, I found The Adventures of Elizabeth,  Bettes Blues and this one called, Butiksofie. Each of these blogs is a feast for the eyes, the photography is beautiful as are their stories.

And last but not least, Hilden& Diaz fascinating arts who turned a chandelier into a forest in your room! Click HERE to see this interesting piece of art.

What are your plans for the weekend? A little relaxing or something more entertaining? Whatever you find yourself doing I hope that you have a fabulous weekend!

I know exactly what you mean about time rushing by – it was almost dark here tonight at just gone 8 pm – the summer went too fast. Thank you so much for leaving a comment on my blog. Love your 'Luxembuorg Gardens' picture. I like photography too.

What beautiful images, love the dog with the pumpkin…..PRICELESS! I love, love this time of year but I have to agree it feels as if it is just flying by already. I think the older we get time seems to move much faster!
