Good morning! Can you believe it has been almost a year since we last saw Matthew, Mary, Bates, Anna, the Crawley’s and all the rest of our favorite friends from Downton Abbey? Thankfully we had two other great PBS shows Call the Midwife and The Paradise to keep us occupied while we counted the days until Downtown returned. Season 4 starts Sunday, check your local listing for air times so that you do not miss a minute.
I have noticed many articles this week in the Post, the NY Times and a few other sources discussing this season, and although I tried not to read them, I am weak and I did read a spoiler or two. I will not share anything other than that we are going to be seeing several new characters.

I hope that you have a fabulous weekend! Be safe if you are traveling and in the path of the storm barreling toward the East coast.
P.S. I know that you probably fasting or on a cleanse after the holidays but if you are not, visit Once Upon a Chocolate Life to try an easy, delicious and healthy breakfast of Chocolate Oatmeal!

Ooo! This is a lush post, Elizabeth! Ruben and I are actually watching (for the fourth time!) the entire collection on DVD from season 1-3 at this moment! We eagerly await to buy season four at the end of the month!
I love the games here! We are actually having a guest over tonight to watch an episode or two over tea, and I'm making chocolate ginger scones! And this chocolate oatmeal…..I am making this for breakfast tomorrow! I already had my breakfast!
Be well my friend. I sure miss your comments, but I know you've been busy. Carry on! Anita
Oh! I hope you enjoy the series Elizabeth, I have become a bit of a fan and loved it, some poignant moments and some quiet laughs. The Christmas special was slightly dull, but overall a great way to spend an hour on a Sunday evening.
Happy New Year by the way.

I really loved DA when it started – but less so this last season. I can't really understand all the fuss about it now, to the point where I stopped recoding the last few episodes and totally ignored the Christmas special.
Call the Midwife – now that I DO enjoy! The Christmas special was wonderful – recorded and enjoyed with my daughter while the men-folk were out watching football at the weekend. 🙂
Not watched The Paradise so can't comment.
Of course, for me, the return of the new season of Sherlock eclipsed everything else over Christmas/New Year!
Enjoy your 'upstairs, downstairs' experience, when you get to watching it – and take it with a hefty dose of salt! ;-p
Elizabeth! You came! But you mentioned that you commented last night? I never, ever see your comments! I wonder what is happening; I had two people email me telling me they were unable to leave me a comment. Thank you for coming to visit me, so much! You are literally with me every day…I have my blue scarf wrapped around my neck inside the house and OUTSIDE! I don't know what the temps are on Mars either, but it is wickedly cold out there today! All week it's been around -20 windchill and even colder up north!
I wish you an incredible day of fun and rest my friend. Thanks for coming by. Anita

I can't wait until Sunday night for the return of my favorite show, although I must confess to watching a few episodes of the British Season 4 on my iPad. It doesn't lessen the excitement at all…
I hope you are staying warm and have a wonderful weekend! xoxo
Missed visiting with you, Elizabeth. Just spotted you over at Anita's and skipped right over to say hello.
I have so much catching up to do with DA that I have no idea where to start, but I am going to try to see the premier this Sunday.
Happy New Year.
To say I'm a fan is a huge understatement! I'm obsessed. However, I didn't know people were throwing parties to welcome Season 4. That's a hoot. I'll just be glued to the TV for two hours tomorrow night.
I haven't seen the series… though I did see a documentary on the manor they film it at, and the family that lives there. That interested me.
