Good morning! How was your weekend? I spent the last few days exploring the suburbs of Chicago and it was great. We walked miles on the Illinois Prairie Path, explored antique stores and blogger stores, discovered a new favorite in Wayne, ate some tasty treats and so much more.

Of course I ended the weekend watching Downton Abbey and Sherlock. Did you watch one or both? SPOILER ALERT: Do not read below this line if you have not watched the episode yet.
Life upstairs and down was moving along, forward and backward but moving none the less.
Isobel was trying to manage her grief and have a life yet all the while worrying that doing just that would mean she was forgetting her beloved son Matthew.
Lady Mary is slowly coming back to life, she is working, going out and even doing a little flirting. Although I find Lord Gillingham intriguing, that fact that he is engaged and putting the full court press on Mary a little distasteful. A marriage proposal after a handful of meetings left me a wee bit skeptical of his true feelings and motives.
Watching Anna struggle with her feelings breaks my heart. Not only is she trying to come to terms with her assault, but instead of thinking of herself she is trying to protect Mr. Bates. In the meantime, Mr. Bates is wandering the house confused, lonely and looking as if he lost his best friend, which in fact he has.
Edith infuriates me, how could she be so intelligent and yet so stupid. I wanted to yell at the screen as she was signing who knows what document that her married boyfriend gave her. Will this girl ever learn?
I could be saying the same for Rose, that girl is always looking for a good time and always ends up in a mess. I do not think we have not see the last of Jack Ross the band leader, do you?
Thankfully Edna and her schemes were exposed. As I mentioned last week, I am a little tired of Tom whining that he doesn’t fit in with the Crawleys, but I certainly did not want to see him with the likes of Edna. Do you think we have seen the last of her?
Tell me what did you think of Downton? And did you enjoy Sherlock? Sherlock came highly recommended to me by Jeanne at Collage of Life and I loved it and cannot wait to see more.
On that note, I hope that you have a wonderful day and I am looking forward to hearing what you thought of both programs.

Hi Elizabeth…So glad you enjoyed Sherlock. Just love that show, we are in for the third episode of Season 3 tonight. This is when I am thankful that we held onto our UK iTunes account. I managed to watch the entire Season of Downton Abbey and the Season Finale…I will say no more. There is so much more to come! Happy viewing…in your beautiful snowy world. xx
As for Downton, wait until you see them all. The only one missing from our viewing on NOOBROOM is the Christmas special, but we saw them all and all end well…that's all I will say! HAPPY MONDAY!
Hi hope you had a great weekend! Love that first picture……have not been watching DA. I got into it last season but somehow lost a little interest. I may try watching again…..it is a beautiful series for sure!
Honestly, I'm so furious about what happened to Anna that I'm not sure I want to keep watching… Is that melodramatic of me? And I agree with you about Tom, he needs to buck up!! I haven't watched Sherlock yet, I have to wait till my husband gets home… the wait is killing me!! 🙂
April, I felt the same way. I just could not watch the scenes with Anna. I do so hope that she and Mr. Bates can work things out.
You will love Sherlock!
I really love watching Downton Abbey…I have seen most of this season (bootlegged from the UK) but am re-watching it with my husband. Even though it is a bit dark this season, I am still enjoying it.
Have fun in the Chicago area…I love it there! xoxo
Sandy, I hope that you have a great trip to Florida! Enjoy your time with your mom and daughter.
I thought the pace picked up a bit last night on DA and the hour just flew by. I think (hope) we have seen the last of Edna. Mary made a wise decision by turning down the proposal of Lord Gillingham. I am liking Isabelle more this season than previously. I find the downstairs antics of the kitchen help somewhat boring. I am most interested in the outcome of the Anna/Mr. Bates situation and I am so sorry for poor Anna.
I am not watching Sherlock.
Sanda, I hope we have seen the last of Edna, she really grated on my nerves. I hope you have a great week!
I haven't ever watched Downton, but I've seen the first two seasons of Sherlock. Cumberbatch and Freeman do wonderful work with that series.
