Good morning! I have the Winter Blues. I have lost my energy and frankly I cannot even bring myself to bake which is when I know I am in trouble. Today we are in for another winter storm, there will be snow, icy rain, cold, sleet, thunder and possible tornado’s. When is it going to end? I want to jump back in bed and have someone wake me when it is all over.
As I am trying not to wallow in self pity I thought I would enjoy a little Winter Blues and Whites today. I am infinitely happier when looking at waves lapping the shore, white puffy clouds floating in the sky, beautiful art and of course a little blue willow.
I spent a little time last evening looking at my photos and I noticed that blue and white is one of my favorite color combinations. Although oddly enough I do not have one room in my house in which blue plays a key roll, aside from my collection of transfer ware in the kitchen and that does not really count as it is in the cabinets.
Are you a blue and white fan? In your decorating? Clothing? Art? Car color? If so than I think you will enjoy these photos.
I hope that you have a great day and that the winter blues have taken on a new meaning at least for today.
If you are in the path of the storm, stay safe!

Elizabeth, thank you so much for your kindness toward me and for visiting Thistle Cove Farm. I followed you home -smile- and enjoyed this winter post. I also visited your chocolate blog -ohmy!- and think, perhaps, cookies might bring good smells and tastes into my life today. Thank you again, please, don't be a stranger.
I LOVE your winter blues – the artwork is amazing. We finally have had warm, sunny weather yesterday and today after the most snow we've had in NC in years – the warmth is definitely a mood changer!!
You've found beautiful patterns of blue here!
Drink hot chocolate. Spring shall come soon.
I love the blue and white photos and the inspiration. You lifted my spirits just be being honest about where you are right now.
Your blue and white photos are stunning and offered me a little cure from the "winter blues"…I hope your spirits are a bit higher today. It has warmed up a bit here, but it still feels like we are in the arctic! HUGS to you my dear…Spring will be here soon! xoxo
Hi Elizabeth…we are currently in the storm….snow turning to rain, lots of it and thunderstorms as well….crazy weather patterns! I love blue and white as well, and I hope you will be up to your delicious baking soon….I know you love to bake! N.xo
Elizabeth, Your lovely pictures are perfect for lifting the winter weary spirit. I can't complain, we are experiencing what they call our false spring. I am hoping it isn't so "false". Blue is one of my favorite colors. There are so many shades from which to choose. Sending you wishes for an early spring.
Yes, I'm a blue and white fan in all the ways you mention, but especially in our home.
