Good morning Monday! I hope that you had a fabulous weekend, I myself had a great weekend, for many reasons but I think a lot of it had to do with the beautiful weather. Here in the South the hot steamy weather seems endless once Summer really kicks in, so I am savoring every second on the mild, sunny weather.
This weekend is Father’s Day and if your dad or husband is anything like mine they love to grill and enjoy making anything that includes meat. There are many, many great grilling cookbooks but these are my four favorites.
Grill Master Back to the Basics by Williams Sonoma, is a great cookbook that includes fish, meats, chicken, lots of side dishes and even dessert!
The Book of Steak: Cooking for Carnivores is the perfect book for people that LOVE steak of all kinds, from flank steak to flat iron, the T-bone and more. There are rubs, marinades and other great grilling ideas in this book and it also includes a section on how to cook meat to the correct temperature, rare, medium, well-done, etc.
Haute Dogs is the perfect book for the hot dog lover in your life, everything from the Chicago Style Dog, to the New York Style dog and everything in between. Honestly, I had no idea there were so many different kinds of hot dogs and topping.
This next book is my FAVORITE cookbook ever. Build a Better Burger by Sutters Home Vineyard is filled with the recipes of winners of the Sutter’s Home Burger Contest. To say that I love hamburgers is an understatement and this book lets me experiment with everything from your basic grilled burger to BBQ burgers, Portabello Burgers and so many other interesting flavor combinations.
