Good morning! Have you survived the deep freeze and snow? We are muddling along here, the temps are way below normal and I have three pups that are currently boycotting the frigid temps, they will only go as far as the front or back porch and no further.
This week all I have had on my mind mind is comfort food and purging the house of all of the things I decided I don’t need. What about you?

Although I have not made any resolutions I have been enjoying all of the wonderful “words of the year” and resolutions of other bloggers, one of my favorite blog post this week was from Brooke at World of Wanderlust, 29 Things to Remember in The New Year. Just in case you need a little reminder of the important things in life.

As I mentioned it is freezing here and when the weather is frigid all I can thing about is nesting and comfort food. This week, Lindsay at Pinch of Yum made Braised Beef Ragu and Polenta, I have already been to the store for the ingredients and will be dining on this tonight!

And for tomorrow I am thinking of this delectable Chicken Artichoke Pasta Skillet from Pip & Ebby! Does it get any better than pasta and artichokes?

Have a fabulous weekend!

Good morning Elizabeth! Yes, I too would love to boycott this cold! We had a blizzard yesterday (seemed like one) that hit around the afternoon commute. YEP, I got caught in it. It took me 2 hours to get home.
Loi's and Tom's house is so gorgeous! I know whoever buys it will be happy there. Good for them they are going to spend their days in Maine! Such a gorgeous place…
Have a happy Friday! Anita
Thanks so much, Anita!!!

Hiya, Elizabeth – You are the best! Thanks for sharing the news on our home. Tom and I appreciate it very much. Stay warm and fabulous!!!! 🙂 xo
Good morning dear Elizabeth. Do you remember me from my Parisian adventure days in 2012?
I'm so pleased I have found you again….I'm going to enjoy your beautiful posts. Anybody who searches out the beauty of life…is my kinda' person!
Your recipes look divine….and you'll be interested to know that it is hot, sticky and humid here in beautiful Brisbane.
So today, for lunch, when my brother and sister-in-law come over we're simply having a cold gazpacho soup with freshly sprinkled additions of boiled egg, chopped tomatoes, fresh eschallot rings and praps some wsabi peas to sprinkle over the top. Followed by left over Christmas cake and salted caramel ice-cream. Oh, and we may start with something simple…little cold egg tomatoes with a little pesto on top….with chablis!
All easy peasy but very Summery!
Have a lovely weekend dear Elizabeth.
Ciao
