30 Minute Soft Pretzel Nuggets

February 4, 2015 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 4 Comments

Good afternoon! How was your weekend? Did you enjoy the Super Bowl, it certainly had a crazy ending that will go down in history that is for sure. We had a relaxing weekend and of course made and ate way, way too much junk food!

As I mentioned last week, I love junk food, party food, dips, cheesy food and all the rest. As we decided to stay in and have our own party and I made several of the things profiled on my blog last week, one of which was these Soft Pretzel’s in 30 Minutes from The Slow Roasted Italian.

The recipe is a modification of one from Cooks Country and it could not be easier, seriously in 30 minutes you are sitting down to a plate of hot, salty, delicious pretzels. Basically you warm some milk, add honey and yeast let it foam for 5-10 minutes, add flour and salt and then mix for 3 minutes. Roll and cut into nuggets,  boil in baking soda bath for 30 seconds, and then bake for 7-9 minutes.

Serve with an array of mustards and cheese dip and you have a feast of yeasty goodness! I will warn though, if you make a batch invite friends because 64 nuggets for two people is a lot of temptation. I won’t lie, I ate a lot of these things dipped in cheese and then drizzled in chablis mustard from France. Delicious!

I hope that you try these delicious nuggets, they are the perfect snack for a winter day.  Have a great week.
