Good morning and a very happy weekend to you! I am still plodding along a week later with a cough, sore throat and a cold so I am more that happy for the weekend to be here. Sadly I did not win the lottery but I am thrilled for the three people who did, I hope some good things come from their winnings.
Since I have been taking it easy this week I had lots of time to read blogs and peruse the internet. Here are my favorite things from this week.

I feel like making a cheesecake as I have not made one for awhile, but I am thinking of something a little different, not chocolate, or traditional New York cheesecake, perhaps something like this Amaretto Cheesecake from Spicy Southern Kitchen.
Of course everyone would like to go through life as a huge success but we all make mistakes and Mark & Angel Hack wrote the 5 Failures you Need to Experience to be a Success

Is taking it easy, relaxing, turning off social media and reading more books a priority for you this year? If so check out the The Everyday Girl 2016 Reading Challenge
I know Christmas is over but I thought you might enjoy this post by Oakwood Life about Jerry’s Tree, take a look I promise it will bring a smile to your face.
I was saddened to hear that my favorite actor, Alan Rickman passed away . If you have not seen the movie A Little Chaos I highly recommend it, Alan plays Luis XIV of France.
Stay safe this weekend if you are in the path of the nor’Easter( I am..oh joy).
Have a great weekend.

Oh my, that SOUP! THAT CAKE! My friend, your photos and share are always timely…..thank you. And I am loving my scarf. You are so lovely. Enjoy your day!
I'm usually not one for soup, but I'd try that.
And that cake looks delicious!
Yummy food! Sorry you're under the weather. (I wonder where that phrase came from?) I started a book challenge last weekend. I do plan to read more.
