Good morning! Is it starting to feel like summer in your neck of the woods? Here we are having fits and starts but I am not complaining, just running outside the moment I see a little sun and soaking it all in.
Although the weather may not be cooperating my mind is already focused on Summer…summer food, summer adventures and more. What about you?

Mexican Chopped Salad |
One of my favorite things to do in the summer is eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables from the farmers market. This Mexican Chopped Salad from The Cafe Sucre Farine is on my list of salads to try using my recent haul from the market.

Schaum Torte with Raspberries |
As for something a little less healthy, my family loves Schaum Tortes with Berries and we have them at almost every summer occasion.

But if you are not a fan of meringue you could always make Homemade Strawberry Shortcake from Dine & Dish.
Will you be heading on a summer vacation this year? I have several trips planned but they are all in the USA, to Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Chicago, Kansas City and so far that is it!

But if you are headed to France this summer you might want to put Latour Marliac, the gardens that inspired Monet to plant water lilies at his place. Check out the post on Fabulously French for more information.
You can also stay at this cute little apartment in the Dordogne, information here, owned and operated by LeeAnn of Fabulously French.

Modern-Country-style |
I LOVE Scotland and dream of living in a cottage there, my second choice would be living in the Cottswolds and this cute house featured on Modern Country Style is right up my alley for a dream cottage in England.
I hope that you have a sunny, happy weekend! If you have something scrumptious or interesting to share please do!
Enjoy!

Since it's strawberry season and you have so many great strawberry ideas here, I'll share my strawberry risotto: https://francetaste.wordpress.com/2016/05/16/risotto-with-strawberries-and-mushrooms
The weather is not cooperating here in SW France either, we have very hot days and then it's back to cool and rainy again, the locals are not happy! The western Isles of Scotland would be where I would live if I didn't live in France, I have family ties there and love it, and oh that Cotswold Stone, it's so quintessentially English!
Good morning sweetest friend! What gorgeous photos today of that SALAD! Gotta have some….
I have been so occupied with the last week of school and trying to get some garden fun in between that I failed to see the news about the flooding in Paris and other parts of Europe…have you seen the photos? Horrific…I hope our summer will not be eventful other than the silent, slow summer that I hope awaits us. PEACE!
Love that food eye candy! Have a great weekend, Elizabeth!
Okay now I wan tto eat all that food while reading a book in my own Cottswolds cottage!!
The desserts look delicious.
This weekend in my area is an event called Doors Open, part of a province wide initiative that goes on from April into October. The idea is to open up various buildings for public visitations, with volunteers on hand to answer questions about the architecture or history.
I can't wait to click through all the links – you find the best things!! Have a wonderful weekend, Elizabeth!!! xoxo
