Good morning! How was your week? I understand that we have 6 more weeks of winter ahead of us according to Punxsutawney Phil. I wish I could just “hunker down” and do nothing but read for the next six weeks, what about you? Sadly I do not think that is an option but at least I have the weekend to relax. What are your plans for the weekend? Will you be watching the Super Bowl?

This week I made this One-Pan Chicken Thighs with Rice and Beans and it was easy and delicious. I prefer chicken breasts but my husband sometimes likes thigh so I thought we would try this as a compromise, I gave him the thighs and ate the rice and beans.
If you feel like something a little sweet, this Dulce de Leche Hot Chocolate is delicious. I think you would enjoy a cup or two if it is snowy or not.

I love reading about all of Sharon Santori’s stylish French girlfriends, so it is nice to see a Stylish French man featured.

One of my favorite posts this week was this beautiful Spanish Country House from Habitually Chic, I concur with Heather that the rattan bath tub is unique and beautiful.
This week my mom attended the funerals of one friend and the children of two others, naturally like her mother she baked/cooked for the families. Coincidentally, I read on Dinner: A Love Story a post about making a Freezer Care Package for the people in your lives who are struggling with illness, or issues. I thought you might like to have the recipes as well in case you have a sick friend or a friend in need.

I am not really crafty, or artistic but I love to watch and learn from people that are. This post from Mason Dixon Knitting about the workshops at Chateau Dumas is great for those that would love to take a holiday in France and learn something, like millinery, basket-making, apothecary, and more.
I discovered 3 new blogs this week that I think you might enjoy, Always Hungry, Club Narwal and Inhibit.
There is no excuse for not working out, especially with this great sight called Fitness Blender. It has over 500 free full-length videos made by two personal trainers. You can choose between yoga, HIT, upper, lover body and more.
Did you read, watch, bake, make or discover anything interesting this week? If so please share. I hope that you have a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

Burying children, no parent should have to do that. My parents were friends with a couple; the wife tended to bake a dinner dish or two for families when they were dealing with grief or an illness in the family.
