Friday Favorites from Design Chic, Desire to Inspire, The Pink Clutch, Bored Panda,

March 4, 2017 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 5 Comments

Good morning! Happy March, can you believe that Spring is just 17 days away? I am looking forward to warm days, cherry blossoms, walks are the beach, Easter, Spring cleaning and so much more.

Image from Desire to Inspire

I know that ship-lap, bright white and grey interiors are the “in-thing.” but I personally am drawn to dark, moody rooms. I find them to be much more cosy and comfortable. This week on Desire to Inspire, Kim and Jo featured Maren Ingeborg Gråblomst fabulously collected and moody home and I love it.

Image Design Chic

Check out this fabulous space that Kristy and Beth featured on Design Chic this week. You will not believe it.

While you are looking at that take a minute and check out this former cement factory that has been turned into a family home. It has undergone quite a transformation.

If you are looking for ways to spiff up your porch this Spring, check out Porch Appeal by the Pink Clutch, you might find a few ideas that you like.

If you are looking for a few Spring desserts I have the answer(s) for you, berries! Berries on cake, over ice cream, on panna cotta and more. These easy, beautiful and tasty desserts are perfect for Spring and for Easter as well.  You could make this  Blueberry Topped Pavlova from Traditional Home.

In my family we make or should I say, my mom makes, Schaum Tortes. According to what I have read they are similar to Pavlova but a little different.

Recipe and Photo Traditional Home

Doesn’t this Raspberry Topped Goat Cheese Panna Cotta looks fabulous as well? You can find the recipe at Traditional Home.

Last but not least you could make this scrumptious Strawberries and Cream Butter Cake.

If you are looking for something to spruce up your Easter table and do not want to buy more dishes,  napkins are the perfect way to add a little something special to your place setting.  Plain with rick, rack, embroidered eggs, or even bunnies to add a touch of whimsy to Easter meals.

Did you discover any books, movies, articles or recipe this week to share? If so I would love to hear about them.

Have a fabulous weekend.
