Spring Green

April 7, 2017 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 6 Comments

Good morning! A bright and beautiful day here today has me itching to get out and plant my containers but I think I will wait a couple more weeks as it is supposed to get cold again this weekend.

Tory Burch Spring Collection

I asked last week what your favorite classic wardrobe pieces were and that led to me thinking about how my own wardrobe has changed a little as I age. In the past I liked to wear a lot of black but in the last few years I like to add a little color and one of my favorites has been green! Not an entire outfit but maybe a tote, sandal, pants, or a sweater paired with something white or maybe even blue.

Do you find that you have added less or more color to your wardrobe lately? Are you a fan of green or do you prefer another color to brighten your wardrobe? In the summer I also love fuchsia pink and orange, sometimes I even wear this combination together.

Tory Burch

This pink and green print from Tory Burch is fresh and elegant and has all of my favorite Spring/Summer colors and has me dreaming of warmer days to come.

Have a great day!

Last spring, I saw a woman in Carcassonne in head-to-toe green. Bright, Kelly green, as you show here. A top with a green print, a green cardigan, matching green jeans/trousers and, if I recall, green shoes and bag. She pulled it off as if it were black. And why not? She looked fabulous.

Yes! Lots of waiting for weather in spring. I have also made black my wardrobe foundation, and green is my next favorite color. But I like an olive green best. I do try more color now and then, but it never seems to feel right! Nice to have a word from you about my slog through stuff! Misery loves company. Haha!
