Bee Art |
Good morning! I am fascinated by bee’s, especially as the last few years they have been in the news a lot because of their declining numbers. In my area there has been a big push to educate people about bees and my local garden center has even been having bee talks to educate people on raising their own bees, and creating a bee friendly yard.

This summer I have been following Pamela of Salish Sea Cottage on Instagram and the ups and downs of her bee keeping adventure. I am fascinated by her progress as I had heard about the same bee house that she has and thought of getting one myself. Thankfully I have seen first hand what goes into raising bees and have now decided to leave it up to someone that has more knowledge than I do. I think I will just stick to the bee plantings in my yard and the items in my house.

Gold Bee |
Wether you are a “busy bee” or a “Queen bee” here are some fun finds I discovered this week, including accessories, bath items, perfume and more.
If you are looking for some art, a bee feeder, guest towels, pillows or even your own bee hive starter kit I found some of those as well.
For those of you who would like to know all about bee’s and why they are so important to our future check out these TED Talks and for interesting facts about bee’s, check out this article from National Geographic. And last but not least, you can check out the Honey Bee Health Coalition for the Bee Nutrition and Innovation Award of $40,000: Making a difference can start with one bold idea. The Honey Bee Health Coalition is looking for creative, practical soluitons to accelerate and pioneer the field of honey bee nutrition. We want to hear from folks within the community and newcomers to the bee world – no beekeeping or research experience required!
Have a happy and safe weekend!

Whatever we can do to help bees out is a good thing.
