Cobalt Blue for Any Season

August 9, 2017 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 7 Comments

Good morning! How is your week starting? I read this morning that 2/3rd’s of the country will be having a below average August in terms of weather and that you will be experiencing some Fall like weather.

Stone Gable Fall Image Yvonne Glasses

That has me a little “blue” and has me pondering Fall decorating as well. I personally LOVE cobalt blue and I think you can use it as an accent at most any season. One of my favorite bloggers, Yvonne from Stone Gable uses it in the Spring and Fall and pairs it with transferware, pumpkins, , glasses and more.

What do you think? Are you a fan of cobalt blue? Can you see yourself veering off from the traditional colors of the seasons and adding a little cobalt blue to your tables?

Have a great day!

I love cobalt blue and it's by far my husband's favorite color. It works well with so many accent colors–pink, orange, red, yellow, green, turquoise, pale blue….pretty much the entire rainbow.

Hi Elizabeth! I have been having a tough time leaving a comment on your blog; the page jumps around and gets stuck and won't allow me in. This is a rare moment for me to get in!

Love blue. No matter what the season, any hue of it works for me!

I've always been a big fan of cobalt blue. I used to have a lot of it, but somehow lost it along the way. Maybe I'll acquire more! Sure hope you're right about having fall weather.

I'm not a big fan of cobalt blue UNLESS it's mixed with pink and white like in your first image and then I'm a HUGE fan. I have a couple of vases with cobalt on them and I always put pink flowers inside. I do think it's a nice color for all seasons. I also like the tiles on your inspiration board. They are very pretty!

Love all blues, especially cobalt, thanks for the good shopping list. LOVE it with the orange marigolds and pumpkin.
