Good morning! Today is the day, #Eclipse2017, a once in a lifetime show in which all of America will experience a solar eclipse. If you are in its path you will see a total solar eclipse(from Salem, OR to Charleston, SC), if you are outside of the path you will see a partial solar eclipse. This is the first coast-to-coast full eclipse since 1918 so it is a big deal (99 years since the last one).

In case you do not know what a solar eclipse is, it is when the moon passes between the Earth and sun and casts its shadow on the planet. Are you in the path of the total eclipse? Do you have plans to stop and view it?
“For those within this band, some pretty magical things will take place should the weather cooperate. During totality, planets and stars will suddenly appear in the sky, crickets may start chirping, and birds will fall silent. The sun’s corona (which features average temps of 1.8 million degrees Fahrenheit) will become visible, with tongues of fire potentially glimpsed at the edges.”(Source Michael D’ Estries Mother Nature Network)

If you do not live where you can see the eclipse or do not feel like fighting the crowds, you can view it live HERE.
Make sure that if you are in the path of the eclipse that you take safety precautions, if you do not know how to safely view an eclipse please take a look at the NASA safety page.
I hope that you have a fabulous day and good luck viewing the eclipse!

We aren't going to see the eclipse in France, but I'll be watching online.

It was a partial here in Canada. Clear skies, so I stepped out when it was at its height and noticed an unusual tone to the blue sky.

It was cloudy and raining here, so I missed it!
