Friday Favorites from Taste of France, Mark & Angel Hack Life, Blahnik Baker and More

August 25, 2017 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 5 Comments

Good morning and a very happy Friday to you. It is going to be a beautiful weekend here, sunny, slight breeze and high 80’s. Perfect weather for relaxing and hopefully sitting at the ocean.

Korean Beef Tacos from Natasha’s Kitchen

I have made these Korean Beef Tacos from Natasha’s Kitchen 4 times and they are fabulous, fresh, spicy, sweet and more. If you are in a hurry you could make these with ground beef as well and they are just as good. The crunchy cabbage, cilantro and the creamy Sriracha sauce is a a delicious and interesting combination.

Doesn’t this  Coconut Banana Cream Pie from Blahnik Baker look scrumptious? I have made coconut cream pies and banana cream pies but have never made a combination, have you?

Have you ever watched a movie that days later you cannot stop thinking about? I watched one this week, it is called Amour and it is about two a couple who are retired music teachers, that wife suffers a stroke and the husband takes care of her. I don’t want to tell you any more because it really has to be watched. By the way its French so there are subtitles.

Image Taste of France

Speaking of being moved, this post by Taste of France is so beautifully written and moving I have gone back to read it more than once. It is about her parents and their care in the home they lived in at the end of their lives. I can only hope that I have this sort of care.

Are you book lover? A Francophile? Than you will enjoy this reading list from My Little Paris that takes your favorite author, for example Jane Austen and recommends a French book based upon that. It is really quite clever and offers you an opportunity to expand your reading repertoire.

Great article, 10 Things to Remember When Everything Seems Out of Reach.

Did you watch, read, make or do anything interesting this week that you would like to share? If so I would love to hear about it.

I hope that you have a fabulous week. Stay safe if you are in Texas!
