Friday Favorites from A Beautiful Mess, Life Made Simple, Tone on Tone, Omero and More

October 7, 2017 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 6 Comments

Good morning! A happy Friday to you. I hope that you had a great week and have a relaxing weekend ahead.

Life Made Simple

There is nothing better on a cool Fall day than the smell freshly baked bread. I cannot wait to try this Foolproof Cinnamon Raisin Bread from Life Made Simple but I think I will add cranberries instead of raisins.

Butternut Squash Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese

Ok, maybe Creamy Butternut Squash Macaroni and Cheese from A Beautiful Mess could give the crusty bread a little competition.

Old Fashioned Apple Pie

A little Old Fashioned Apple Pie from Food & Wine is another Fall favorite in my baking rotation.

Image Tone on Tone

A beautiful burst of Fall colors from Loi at Tone on Tone. I love the dried hydrangeas and the fall branches in the antique bucket.

If you are looking for a “tone on tone arrangement look no further than this gorgeous tables cape Loi created last year which has over 1 million hits in Pinterest.

I love this post from My Modern Met about The Atlas of Beauty: Women of the World in 500 Portraits by Mihaela Noroc. I cannot wait to receive my copy of this book it is stunning.

Watched: Jeremiah Tower: The Last Magnificent . Interesting story about the celebrated chef Jeremiah Tower.

Discovered: A new to me online store called Omero . A beautiful store filled with vintage and antique friends from around the world.

That’s it for my week. Have you discovered anything interesting this week? If so please do share with us.

I hope that you have a fabulous weekend.

That foolproof bread hasn't met me! Although I would like to have a slice along with the apple pie. Hope you have a great weekend, Elizabeth.

I'd substitute cranberries too- I never did like raisins.

I was knocked out by Loi's patio too! And i love that I now feel I have permission to work faux oak leaf branches into my own fall decor! xox

We would go blueberry and peach picking with my grandmother and fill bushels of peaches to take home for her to bake with and the can for the winter. I’m not sure how much help we were because I am pretty sure that we are our body weight in peaches. We were a sticky mess by the end of the day with a belly full of Michigan’s finest peaches.
