Hello friends! Thank you so very much for your kinds comments and prayers for Patches! She is doing better today after another day at the vet for tests, fluids, antibiotics, pain medication and more. She ate a tablespoon of food today and drank a little water for the first time in 3 days. She goes back to the vet tomorrow for more of the same. For those who have asked she has a GI tract infection which came after she got sick last Friday morning. From that she had terrible bathroom issues which then essentially caused a bad case of diaper rash exacerbated by her licking it. All of that then caused a whole host of other problems. Needless to say she is in pain inside and out. As we just moved here we did not have a vet, we called 4 offices and were told they could not see her because of a Covid backup and they all told us to drive to an emergency vet in Chapel Hill, NC(11/2hrsaway)Thankfully I met a woman at the grocery store who told me the name of her vet on Sunday afternoon. Monday morning before they opened we were sitting outside the office and begged them to help us and even though the schedule was filled for the day they said yes. Patches is in good hands and hopefully we will see more improvements in the coming days. Park your broom and come on in. If you are new here you might not know but I grew up believing my grandmother was a witch. My grandfather use to tell us stories about my grandmother, who had beautiful long black hair that she brushed every morning and evening, and “hid” in a bun at the base of her neck, and her adventures as she flew off every evening when we went to bed. He even took us for rides to see the beautiful tower that she would visit each night, which was actually the North-point Water Tower in Lake Park.
