Friday Favorites from The Kittchen, Heartbeet Kitchen, My Beautiful Paris, Soulfully Made and More

February 25, 2018 By Elizabeth@ Pine Cones and Acorns 3 Comments

Happy Friday and a very good morning to you. How was your week? My week has been great, I enjoyed two days of beautiful, sunny, Spring-like weather. One day it was 77, the perfect weather to sit on the porch and read a good book.

This weekend we will be chilly again so I plan on revisiting many of my favorite blogs and links that I found this week.

Food

Instant Pot White Bean Soup from Heartbeet Kitchen

I don’t know if I mentioned it but I received an Instant Pot for Christmas and have yet to use it. To be honest I find it a little intimidating. But I think with these excellent instructions from The Heartbeet Kitchen I might be able to make this delicious looking White Bean Soup.

Image Fox Valley Foodie

One of my favorite bloggers Fox Valley Foodie made this Rueben Sandwich that I cannot wait to make.

Chocolate Cake with Whipped Oreo Frosting

Chocolate Cake with Whipped Oreo Frosting from Soulfully Made looks like a a tasty treat.

Travel

If you are a truffle lover(the mushroom kind not the chocolate kind) than you will enjoy this post Truffle Hunting in the Tuscan Countryside and might want to schedule a trip to do the same.

Image Table for Two Blog

If you are getting ready to make plans for Summer travel and they include Amsterdam, check out this post about the food markets on Table For Two. I wanted to eat everything they featured, except the fish.

I have on my list of places to see, Lapland, and this article, Why You Should Visit Lapland in the Winter by Kit of The Kittchen reminded me why. By the way Kit also make scrumptious meals.

I have a wall covered with books, and it gets a good amount of sun. I've thought about turning my books around just to protect the spines, many of which have already faded. I think I would still be able to find individual books, the same way I can spot my kid in a crowd of other kids of the same age all wearing the similar clothes. Each is unique.
    That oreo cake looks yummy!

I dislike rye bread, so I've never had a true Reuben. Everything else about the sandwich is fine, but it's not a Reuben without rye bread.

Oh the colors in that soup could be the inspiration for an entire homes decor! Loving that bookcase shot as well.
