Good morning! I cannot believe that it is already May and finally Spring. The seemingly endless winter really got me down this year I did not have the energy to do anything but go to yoga, come home, shower and plop myself by the fire with my computer and pups. Much like Spring this year which has been awakening in fits and starts I have been the same.
I am trying to stop and enjoy the little things about it that I love because soon it will be a hot, humid summer in the South. A few of the “little things” that I have been enjoying are; sleeping with the windows open and feeling the cool air in the morning. Waking up to chirping birds. Long walks on the beach before the summer crowds come. My new boot camp which has me up at and it by 6:15 and is slowly waking up my sluggish winter body. Dinner with friends who will soon be going back to their own country after a tour here for 3 years. Preparations and new recipes for a Derby party. Searching for a gift for my mother and mother-in-law to let them know how much they are loved and how special they are. Enjoying the firsts of the season, asparagus at the market, tulips, baby birds, fox and bunnies frolicking in the yard.
Life is short my friends and sometimes we miss the little things because we are too busy being busy either on social media, working, watching tv or whatever. Get out there and take in a bit of Spring, enjoy the little things after all, they are what life is all about.
