15 Books on My Summer Reading List

Good morning. I hope that your week is going well and that you are seeing some signs of summer. Here the rain finally stopped and the sun is out but the temperatures are about 15-20 degrees below normal. Not that I am complaining as I am happy to have cool evenings and low humidity for as long as possible.

Summer and reading are synonymous in my world. From the time I was little, the minute school was out for the summer I was traipsing back and forth to the library with my siblings to get our piles of books each week. Now a days I spend long days enjoying good books while sitting on the beach with the sand between my toes or sipping lemonade on the porch or flying on a plane. Although I have many books on my list to read this summer I thought I would share 15 with you, some are already available and some will be out later this summer.

15 Books on My Summer Reading List:

1. Among the Lemon Trees by Nadia Marks

2. Bellewether by Susanna Kearsley

3. The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand

4. Number One Chinese Restaurant Lillian Li

5. The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

6. When Life Gives You Lululemons by Lauren Weisberger

7. Love and Ruin by Paula McLain

8. The Last Letter from Your Lover by Jo Joy Moyers

9. The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate―Discoveries from a Secret      World by Peter Wohllenben

10. By Invitation Only by Dorothea Benton Frank

11. How to Walk Away by Katherine Center

12. The Ensemble by Aja Gabel

13. The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy

14. The Summer Wives by Beatriz Williams

15. The Bettencourt Affair: The World’s Richest Woman and the Scandal That Rocked Paris by Tom        Sancton

Do you have a summer reading list? Or a book that you return too over and over? If so, please share it with us, I love hearing about peoples favorite books and learning about new ones.

I hope that you have a wonderful day!

Other books I love.

Totally intimidated now at the number of books on your "summer" list. I joined a book club in April and have already been kicked out I think!! I do appreciate the recommendations and will choose 1!

This is how I feel tonight, as if I am seeing life This is how I feel tonight, as if I am seeing life through the blur of tears and sorrow. Sunday night my friend of 34 years lost her husband of 36 years, because of Covid he did not get to meet or hold his newborn grandson. Then just an hour ago we received a call that my husbands best friend died of a massive heart attack this morning. Sometimes life just knocks you to your knees and all you can do is pray for the loved ones you’ve lost, cherish their memories and let your time with them sustain you until you meet again. Then you ask God for the strength to get up and move forward. #life #loss #givemestrength #givemestrengthlord #pray

Good afternoon friends, it’s a frigid day here. Good afternoon friends, it’s a frigid day here. How is it in your “neck of the woods?” We took a long road-trip a few weeks ago to the beautiful @colonialwmsburg . I love this place, there is so much to see and do and even wearing masks and social distancing you can still enjoy the history and the beauty of this living museum. Today I am home doing the weekend chores, and of course doing a little baking. I hope that you have a fabulous weekend. #colonialwilliamsburg #williamsburg #colonialhouse #livinghistory #livinghistorymuseum #museum #winterfun #roadtrip #wanderlust #weekend #weekendvibes #weekendmood

This has been a strange winter and I am sure that for the 4 million people without power in19 states they are hoping spring is sooner rather than later. I hope that you are all well and keeping safe.
