Good morning. I hope that you had a wonderful Memorial day weekend and that your week is going well so far.
Life has been busy lately but I am taking a minute or two each day to savor the little things. One of my favorite things to do is check on my lettuce each morning. It’s the first time I have ever planted a vegetable and watching my seeds turn into a crop, albeit small, has given me a lot of joy. Above you can see my first cuttings. Spending time with friends enjoying a leisurely dinner of scrumptious food, wine and of course chocolate. Long talks on the phone with my parents and siblings who I haven’t seen since Christmas. Falling asleep to the sound of the rain beating on the windows. The sun warming my face on an afternoon walk. Enjoying the last few pages of a really good book. Getting up early last week to watch the Royal wedding and seeing so many excited and happy people. Snuggling with my pups.
Life is busy and it is so easy to let it pass us by. Stop and smell the roses, take off your shoes and walk in the grass, jump in a puddle, hug your friend, tell someone that you love them.
What are the little things you have been enjoying lately?
Have a great day friends.

It's those little things that nourish our soul. Did you switch the font color on your posts? It's very light and hard to read.

I had visitors up here a few days ago. It was fun taking them around and showing them the sights.
Ahhh, you are so right about the little things. It is especially wonderful to be with my little doggie, everytime I look at him I smile. That photo of the lettuce is beyond beautiful, and to think what a little miracle this is. One of my dear friends has been suffering high blood pressure and I've spent a lot of time with her going over the "small stuff." We are like sisters. I've also spent a lot of time curating, designing, dropping styles for my new little girl's line, LaLaLand Apparel. It's very challenging because I know I need to stay within the framework of the line, without going completely coo coo and adding ruffles ruffles, yards of tulle, etc. It's very satisfying though. Have a wonderful week !!
I share each & every one of your "little things" except my parents are gone, lovely memories remain.
this is something I try to remind myself of each day, as the life I created is nuts!!! gorgeous lettuce, beautiful photo!
