Friday Favorites from Fox Valley Foodie, Home is Where the Boat Is, But This Cook That and More

Good morning! How was your week? Mine has been busy and crazy. The bathroom renovation is almost finished and it has been a circus the last two days with plumbers and tilers coming in and out all day long and my two protectors barking up a storm all day long. Needles to say I am looking forward to a quite weekend.

Food

Chicken Salad

Doesn’t this Mandarin Chinese Chicken Salad from Buy this Cook That look beautiful and delicious? I think it would be great for dinner and then lunch the next day as well.

French Onion Soup Stuffed Potatoes! I have never heard of them before but they would make a comforting meal on a cool Fall day!

I love cheese and this Beer Cheese Soup from Fox Valley Foodie is at the top of my list of soups to make once the weather cools a bit.

In addition to pumpkin, Fall is all about apples and these Caramel Apple Crumble Bars are the perfect way to use some of the apples your get when you make your pilgrimage to the apple orchard.

This No-Bake Chocolate Cheesecake with Truffles is fabulous! It is so easy and it is one of the best desserts I have ever had.

Decor

Home is Where the Boat Is

I love this Fall inspired table-scape from Home is Where the Boat Is.

I rarely watch TV but a friend recommended Planet Earth from the BBC to me  and I recently I watched the Yellowstone episode and it is phenomenal. If you have not watched it you should.

Finds

I got this book on Saturday and I am really enjoying the recipes and the stories.

Book Here

I am waiting for this book , Not Quite Mastering the Art of French Living to arrive.

I got this Rosie Jane Leila Lou perfume and it is my new favorite perfume. With notes of pear, jasmine and fresh cut grass; Leila Lou is clean, fresh and totally addicting.

Isn’t this watercolor fabulous? I think it would be a beautiful addition to your holiday decor. You can find it and many more beautiful works of art in this Etsy store.

In case you missed these posts this week.

Mad for Plaid some of my favorite plaid finds for you and your home.

My first recipe baking with pumpkin this Fall, Bourbon Pumpkin Pumpkin Bread with Spice Swirl.

I hope that you have a great weekend. Please share your favorite recipes, books, movies and whatever else you discovered this week!

I have never heard of these soups but they look delicious! I have always liked Reese Witherspoon as an actress. She is not the type to want attention all the time like many other actors and seems to be very involved with her family. I know you will enjoy a quiet weekend and hopefully the bathroom will be finished soon.
