I love Halloween, not the parties and creepy, scary stuff but the kids in their costumes and of course the candy. I enjoy hearing from my grandkids and my nieces and nephew about their costumes and their plans for the holiday.
|Trick or Treat Bags|
The kids usually have school parties, “Trunk of Treat” and trick or treating in the neighborhood. When I was a kid my mom always made me a cool trick or treat bag and after I filled it up I ran home and got a pillow case to finish off the night.

When I was little we had a Halloween party at school, where would dress up in our costumes, have a parade and have a small party in the classroom where we would each get little treat bags. Then the entire school had a party in the auditorium where we would bob for apples, have a cake walk and of course get and eat lots of candy.

We always went on a family outing to the pumpkin farm to pick our pumpkins and then just before Halloween we would carve them, roast the seeds, watch It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, and then head off to trick or treat.
If you do not have kids and you do not feel like decorating or adding a lot of things to your decor I think adding tea towels to your kitchen is a great way to do it.
Do you decorate for Halloween? Are there things that you bring out year after year to decorate with or do your skip the holiday and jump right into Thanksgiving? Do you prefer cute or scary decorations? Or do you decorate with more natural elements?
Please share your Halloween decorating tips.
Have a great day!
