Good morning! It is 59 degrees here this morning, and frankly after the 79 degree day we enjoyed yesterday it is downright chilly. Fall has finally arrived and it is time to start nesting. For me that means pulling out my tartan throws and putting them in baskets around the house. After all, you never know when you are going to get cold while reading, watching tv, and just relaxing and taking a nap.
I have been collecting vintage tartan blankets for years, some are from Pendleton, some from Faribault Woolen Mills, Camwrap, Ralph Lauren and many other wollen mills in the US and the UK.

While I was searching online for a gift recently, I came across The Tartan Blanket Company and fell in love with their company and blankets. The Recycled wool blankets are some of my favorites.
According to The Tartan Blanket Co.:
Our recycled wool blankets are an absolute favorite here at TBCo. Featuring purled fringed edges, these blankets are warm, durable and generous in size. Available in a variety of tartans, you will be sure to find the perfect one to match your mood or style.
Most of our recycled blankets are made with a combination of wool and material from old clothing and other products that would otherwise end up in landfills. This means there will be some polyester in your recycled wool blanket, though the blanket’s exact makeup differs with every batch.
The exception would be our Recycled Wool Blanket in Random Tartan. These blankets are made with offcut wool scrapings from our mills, which is why they come in a never-ending variety of colours. Our weavers always go through their recycled wool to find the most complimentary colour combinations.

The good news is that you do not need to go to Scotland to get one of these tartan throws you can order them on Amazon! Is there nothing you can’t get on Amazon?
Here are a few of my favorites.
Stewart Royal Tartan |
Fraser Red Tartan |
Thompson Camel Tartan |
Buchanan Tartan |
Stewart Muted Blue |
Buchanan Autumn |
There are many more patterns on the Tartan Blanket Co. website and on Amazon. If you are a tartan lover or are searching for the perfect gift for the upcoming holidays you might want to get one of these blankets to keep your friends and family warm.
I hope that you have a great day and hope that you share your favorite sources for tartan blankets, throws and the likes.
Note: This is not a sponsored post, I am not being paid, I simply like their products and the company. This post does contain affiliate links though and if you click on one I will earn a small commission.

These look fabulous.
I love tartan even though I grew up having to wear a plaid uniform for school.
It is classic and traditional and comfort to me.
Thank you for the links.

I love tartan. I have a number of blankets and wraps. One of my favourites is a Brooks Brothers Stewart Royal Tartan shawl I can wear with a belt to make a light weight coat. I love the tartans you've featured! So cozy and festive.
