Good morning! I hope that you had a great Halloween. As predicted I did not have one trick or treater, I think it is because our neighborhood is very dark and typically the kids do not go off the main road. Oh well, maybe next year.

Now that Halloween is over I am curious when do you start to decorate for Christmas? In the last couple of weeks I have read at least 20 “disclaimers” on some of my favorite blogs about why they will begin posting Christmas things immediately after Halloween. Basically because it is how they make their living.

Personally, I am not bothered by people decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving and I do not mind seeing it on social media. I think Christmas is “the most wonderful” time of the year and I love seeing all of the decorations, trees, recipes and adventures.

I typically decorate at my house on Thanksgiving weekend. I like to have my tree up and everything ready for guests, parties, and for me to enjoy the entire month of December. The only time I decorate earlier is when we are traveling in December and I feel like I will not have enough time to enjoy my decor

Then I spend the rest of December baking, wrapping gifts ad enjoying Christmas movies. That is the part of the month that I love.
So tell me, when do you decorate for the holidays? And do you mind seeing Christmas things already?

On that note I will tell you that I was at Tuesday Morning the other day and they said they were already marking down the Christmas stuff and getting in the home and garden stuff! It is crazy.
Have a great day!
I love these cute bags! A great idea for family gifts.

I never get trick or treaters here either. I like to look at the Christmas decorating, just don't want to get into too much this year. Especially with Miss Ivy Lou here.

I don't, but that's just me.
Hallowe'en here was damp.
I'm Canadian and Thanksgiving is at the beginning of October, so I like to start to get Christmassy shortly thereafter (music and movies now and decorating right after Remembrance Day.) I think anything to get us through the current newscycle is a good thing, even if it means putting up the tree in July!
