Good morning a happy, beautiful Fall Friday to you! What are your plans for the weekend, anything exciting? We will be staying home and catching up on things here after traveling last week Tennessee.

Here are my favorite finds from this week, I hope you find something you like.

This Cranberry Rosemary Chicken from 40 Aprons looks like a great alternative to turkey for Thanksgiving or a delicious Sunday comfort dinner.

Cranberry Breakfast Cake from The View from the Great Island, one bowl breakfast cake is perfect for the weekend or for the upcoming holidays.

Books

I cannot wait to get the new Half Baked Harvest Book! Every recipe I have ever made of Tieghans’ is delicious!

On her blog and in her debut cookbook, Tieghan is beloved for her freshly sourced, comfort-food-forward recipes that taste even better than they look. Half Baked Harvest Super Simple takes what fans loved most about Half Baked Harvest Cookbook and distills it into quicker, more manageable dishes, including options for one-pot meals, night-before meal prep, and even some Instant Pot® or slow cooker recipes. Using the most important cooking basics, you’ll whip up everyday dishes like Cardamom Apple Fritters, Spinach and Artichoke Mac and Cheese, and Lobster Tacos to share with your family, or plan stress-free dinner parties with options like Slow Roasted Moroccan Salmon and Fresh Corn and Zucchini Summer Lasagna.

I already have Half Baked Harvest, Tiegan’s fist book and I use it all the time.

Tieghan Gerard grew up in the Colorado mountains as one of seven children. When her dad took too long to make dinner every night, she started doing the cooking—at age 15. Ever-determined to reign in the chaos of her big family, Tieghan found her place in the kitchen. She had a knack for creating unique dishes, which led her to launch her blog, Half Baked Harvest. Since then, millions of people have fallen in love with her fresh take on comfort food, stunning photography, and charming life in the mountains.

While it might be a trek to get to Tieghan’s barn-turned-test kitchen, her creativity shines here: dress up that cheese board with a real honey comb; decorate a standard salad with spicy, crispy sweet potato fries; serve stir fry over forbidden black rice; give French Onion Soup an Irish kick with Guinness and soda bread; bake a secret ingredient into your apple pie (hint: it’s molasses). And a striking photograph accompanies every recipe, making Half Baked Harvest Cookbook a feast your eyes, too.

Why not order both and give them as Christmas gifts!

Fall Baking

From golden and bubbly pies, cobblers, and crisps to decadent cakes that are drizzled, frosted, and glazed with fall flavor, these seasonal favorites are the perfect way to showcase the splendor of the season. The book includes over 75 harvest recipes and photographs to fill your kitchen with autumns warm flavors and aromas.

Eat Feed Autumn Winter

I have had this book for over 8 years and it is one of my all time favorite cookbooks, great recipes and beautiful photos.

Everybody talks about eating seasonally. But that’s easier to accomplish in summer, when sampling nature’s bounty is as simple as a trip to the local greenmarket. Being a consummate (and truly seasonal) cold-weather cook takes real creativity—and a deep enthusiasm for the fortifying pleasures of the autumn and wintertime table.

Anne Bramley has both. The host of the hit podcast Eat Feed heads straight to the kitchen when temperatures plunge—eager to share her passion for food that will stoke your fire through all the months when the body craves warmth and the soul hungers for conviviality.

Going well beyond cookbooks that focus solely on the holidays, Eat Feed Autumn Winter finds reason to celebrate throughout the year’s twilit time. After helping you stock your pantry, Bramley presents meals to sustain you from the first chilly evenings of fall through the lengthening days that herald spring. With menus for enjoying the autumn harvest (Wheat Berry and Fig Salad, Feta-Olive Phyllo Cigars), celebrating the winter solstice (Lambswool Punch, Yule Log Cake), and warming up après ski (Onion Rösti, Cheese Fondue), the book is a cornucopia—not just of delectable recipes but also of imaginative ideas for cold-weather entertaining.

Finds

Dachshund Cup

I love this dachshund cup from Pottery Barn it is 25% off.

Anthropologie Velvet Puffer Scarf

Tavel Mugs

Make a statement in this vibrant Wool Cashmere Coat from J Crew! It’s 35% off.

That is it for this week. I hope that you share your finds, podcasts, books, recipes and whatever else you found interesting.

Have a happy and safe weekend.

The white bean pumpkin chili sounds amazing and I think I need a coat with a pop of color. Love the one you picked from J.Crew! Happy weekend, sweet friend!

The chili does sound amazing, I am looking forward to making it. As for the coat, I am leaning towards this orange one myself.
