Good morning! It has been eerily foggy here, last night I was lulled to sleep by the foghorns and this morning the sunrise was replaced by the sound of the water lapping at the shore and a few birds chirping. I hope that your week has been going well. Mine feels like groundhog day. Our house is still for sale and while we are actively looking for a new house we are not having any luck nor have we received an offer that we like on our house. We have found a few houses online that meet some of our criteria, but they are either too big, or too small, or too much work (by that I mean removing an entire house(every room) of wallpaper, and remodeling the kitchen and the bathrooms.) The closing for my “dream house” is on March 2 and I would be lying if I said I have moved on from that house. In the meantime, life and time march on, and I am trying to “trust the timing of my life.” This is easier said than done for me because I hate feeling as if I have no control. I know I am not alone in that. So we are making plans for upcoming trips, I am looking at fabrics to have two couches recovered, and I have started a new wellness program.
I turned 53 this year and I have found that as I age I am loosing muscle mass, which apparently is normal, because they say that after the age of 40 you loos 8% of your muscle mass each decade. I am back at the gym lifting weights, in addition to daily yoga and walking.
Aside from that I am looking forward to Spring and Summer, planting my containers, walking on the beach, getting out on my paddle board and visits with family and friends.
What is going on in your life lately? Are you seeing signs of Spring in your area? Will you be planting a garden this year? Do you have any adventures planned?
Have a great day.

We all need to believe in life and give some trust.

I've felt so much stronger since I started a weight training program at the gym.

How I admire my blog friends who are lifting weights! Yes, loss of muscle mass happens the older you grow, as I can attest to and am paying for now. You sound as if you truly have so much on your shoulders right now but your plan for wellness will see you through it, I'm sure. My life has felt like it's on pause lately or as dormant as winter. My mother of 95 went to her heavenly home almost 2 weeks ago and while expected was such a shock to my equilibrium. But I look out the windows and see bulbs peeking up from the ground and they encourage me that brighter days are ahead. And I do look forward so much to making additions to our garden.

I'm long past the weight training and gyms – best and only exercise these days for me is walking and cleaning house!!! Just getting down on my knees and back up is hard now, but I'm not complaining as I'm still in better shape than many others at 76! Gardening will return to the equation soon though – but I will also need professional help this spring. . . . . the 'secret garden' is really overgrown.
Hoping the house sale etc. works out soon – I know that must be stressful Elizabeth.
Just take care please.

The only sign of spring here is that the days are longer.
