Good morning! Friday is Valentine’s Day and for many it is one of the most dreaded days of the year, especially if they are single. For those that are not single there are so many expectations about gifts, flowers and romantic gestures that are often times not met. All of which to me is very sad. Since when do we only celebrate love on one day of the year? What about the other 364 days? Why is love measured by how many gifts and flowers we receive when the greatest gift itself is love. And why does it seem as if Valentine’s Day is only about “romantic love”? What about the love one has for friends and family?
This year why not celebrate the love you have for your family and friends and send each of them a card, handmade or purchased letting them know just how much they mean to you and how much you love them? Not only will they feel special but you will too when you realize how blessed you are to have so many wonderful people in your life whom you love and that love you in return.
If you need a grand gesture to commemorate Valentine’s Day then send yourself a bouquet of flowers, or buy yourself a gift. Why not spend the day with friend’s or family celebrating the love and friendship that you have for one another. Remember you do not need a special “someone” to make you feel loved.
How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? Are you one for gifts, and flowers? Do you go out or stay in and make a special meal? Or is Valentine’s Day just another day to you?
However you chose to celebrate the day I hope it is a great one.

I don't deal with the day. I don't have the same loathing I have for it like I do Christmas, but it's not a day I'd acknowledge.
