Good morning friends! How are you doing? Are you finding ways to enjoy a little bit of summer? I know that many are staying at home, myself included, but I am trying to enjoy the beautiful weather and as much time outside as I can before the weather turns cold.Apparently the stores are already anticipating cooler weather because I’ve already seen Halloween and Christmas stuff and that was at the grocery store.
I have lots to share this week, I hope you find something you like.

The Cat Who Came for Christmas
‘Twas the night before Christmas when a bedraggled white feline entered the heart — and home — of Cleveland Amory. To say it is a friendly takeover is an understatement. For the cat who came for Christmas is clearly of the Independent Type, and Cleveland Amory, cranky or not, is a pushover where animals are concerned.
Toe to toe they stand — Amory at six feet three, the cat at six inches — and eyeball to eyeball with each other on every issue: whether or not to come when called; to recognize one’s name; to take a trip, a pill, a bath, or a walk on a leash; to be civil to New People; or even in an age when Thin Is In, why anyone in his right mind would want to be the Last Fat Cat. The Lost Art of Keeping Secrets
Set in 1950s London, Penelope wants nothing more than to fall in love, and when her new best friend, Charlotte, a free spirit in the young society set, drags Penelope into London with all of its grand parties, she sets in motion great change for them all. Charlotte’s mysterious and attractive brother Harry uses Penelope to make his American ex-girlfriend jealous, with unforeseen consequences, and a dashing, wealthy American movie producer arrives with what might be the key to Penelope’s—and her family’s—future happiness.
Vibrant, witty, and filled with vivid historical detail, this is an utterly unique debut novel about a time and place just slipping into history.
