Good morning friends! I hope that you had a lovely weekend! Here is was a little like groundhog day in more ways than one, including staying home, and rain, lots and lots of rain. I really did not mind because I am already feeling the winds of change, in my spirit, at the store, and on Pinterest, Fall is in the air and I am starting to feel the need to get my “nest” ready and cozy.
That said, one of the things that made me so happy this week was on the one night that it did not rain; the sunset was beautiful, streaks of pinks, oranges and red lit up the sky and as I sat and watched the darkness close in little fireflies started to blink and dart across the sky. I was instantly transported back to my childhood and long nights running in and out of the house for pickle jars and Mason jars with my siblings to catch as many of these summer “flashlights” as we could, under the mistaken impression that we could keep them alive in a jar and have them as pets that would light up the bedroom and keep us company.
I also saw my first hummingbird of the summer! There was a lull in the rain and as I was sitting at the table, out of the corner of my eye I saw a small little streak and lucky for me as I turned my head it hovered over a planter filled with flowers for a few seconds. I have always been intrigued by these magical little birds and amazed at how fast they are. Here are some fun facts that you might not know about hummingbirds and might enjoy.
Friday I stepped out of my comfort zone and did an Instagram live with Patricia from PVE. To be honest when she first invited me I was going to say no, I am a shy person so the idea of talking for a half and hour about myself and my life was a bit disconcerting. But if these past few months have taught me anything it is this, life is short and unpredictable and I’ve only got one life so I better live it to the fullest. It was actually fun, Patricia is a natural at drawing out of of your shell and moving along a conversation. I felt so comfortable, as if I was sitting and having coffee with a life long friend. I think she might have another career in her future in addition to being an artist, a coach and a pilates instructor.
I am taking part in a Mastermind group for bloggers and there are big, and uncomfortable changes on the horizon. Some days I feel overwhelmed with the thought of migrating 9 years of this blog to WordPress and then learning a new platform, plug-ins, hosts, etc. Thankfully Brenda from Cozy Little House shared the name of her designer and I think things are going to be fine. I will keep you posted and if you have any helpful hints about writing and using WordPress let me know.
I hope that you have a wonderful week and that you are finding happiness and joy in all of the little things in life.

WordPress is overall a good platform, however, of late they have had problems and unable to resolve as quickly as usual. I recommend the business plan to get the best 24/7 chat service. I've used it often. Best to you!
