Good morning friends, how was your weekend? Mine was great, a combination of work and play, as most are.
Friday we had buffalo chicken pizza, it might be my new favorite pizza ever! We had it custom made for us at our local restaurant, but if you want to make it at home you could try this recipe, Kitchen Swagger which I posted on my blog Friday. It is a little hot, a little sweet and a little savory.
Although the daytime temps have been in the 90’s we are starting to see temperatures dip to the 70’s at night and I cannot help but think of the cool, crisp nights that we that will allow us to have the windows open to sleep.
Fall is my “happy place” I love to be home, sitting by the fire with my cosy throw, my pups snuggled in their favorite blanket, surrounded by their toys, reading a book and of course sipping a hot chocolate.
I’ve already dug out a few of my favorite cookbooks, including Chocolates & Confections(for marshmallows and fairy food), Bravetart( for brownies and cookies) and Savor(just in case I have a small dinner party for the holidays) and am making lists of things to bake for Christmas.
I cannot remember if I mentioned it but my mother-in-law, who is 93, had a bit of a health scare and was admitted into the hospital with incredibly high blood pressure. Thankfully she is back at home and doing great. Covid-19 canceled 2 of our trips to see her in the last 6 months, hopefully soon we will be able to see her.
While I have been blogging for well over 10 years I am learning that I have a lot to learn. I have also learned that you are never too old to start over and earn something new. In addition to my mastermind I am taking a FoodPhotography Course from Broma Bakery and I highly recommend it, Sarah is amazing.
And last but not least, next to Fall, Christmas is my favorite time of the year. This year I want to share small businesses of bloggers and instagram accounts, including Etsy stores that have wonderful handmade products and services with you. Please share anyone(including yourselves) that you know that has a small business that we should know about. I will make a list and include links to their stores. I am going to start doing that in just a few weeks so that people can spread out their Christmas and holiday shopping which will leave more time to do fun things like bake and spend time with family.
I hope that you have a wonderful day.

Hi Elizabeth, my name is Denise and I have been reading your blog for at least 9 years. I’ve never commented before. I’m not a blogger so I didn’t think I had any real standing to do so. I do want you to know that I have enjoyed your writing and your blog very much.
You were instrumental in introducing me to many blogs so many of which are no more.
I hope you have a good day! Denise
Love that quote! I love Fall, too
I like your idea to feature Etsy stores! One of my favorites is Pappu Mama (etsy.com/shop/pappumama); she sells kantha stitched silk scarves. They are not expensive and make good gifts.
