Good morning friends, it’s the most wonderful time of the year(next to Christmas), it’s Fall! This week I am savoring cool, crisp morning walks and evenings that I can fall asleep with the windows open.
I’ve started a few mornings with a fire to take the chill out of the house and ended the day with a hot bath and a cup of tea.
The summer bedding has been changed for fluffy featherbeds and down comforters and baskets of throws have been added to the living and family room. I’ve taken to reading books at night with the candles flickering wrapped in a cosy throw and at least one pup, often times all three sitting on me or next to me.
Cinnamon, cloves and pumpkin spice are making their yearly rotation in sweet and savory foods. Easy soups, chili and comforting dinners are on the menu.
Although I love my mini-pumpkins I am itching to get out my Christmas tree. For now I will be satisfied with a bowl of pinecones lit with my new acorn lights.
Little things that to some are mundane but that make me smile and bring my joy. What is bringing you happiness these days?
I think that the longer Covid is wreaking havoc with our lives it is imperative to find joy and happiness andy way that you can.
Read a good book, watch some funny movies, get outside and get some vitamin d, meditate and give yourself some grace.
Have a great day friends, be safe and well.

It seems the little mundane things are the most important. They occur more frequently and keep us going. You're so right!

Featherbeds and down comforters …sounds heavenly! I love fall … although it was 100 degrees again today. I bought pumpkins anyway and now it's cooled down enough to go outside and style – them in the dark! It's going to bring me joy! xo
