Good morning friends! How are you? How was your week? I have been running from morning til’ night and I felt as if I could not catch up on anything. I am not sure if I tried to do too much or if I was just putting too much pressure on myself to get accomplish too many things, in any case I am ready for the weekend. I have lots to share with you this week so get yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy.
Food
If you are looking for a delicious cake to make over the holidays this Cranberry Almond Bundt Cake is easy and delicious.
I love sugar cookies and frankly the reason I do not make them more often is because I make a huge mess in the kitchen, this year I will be making No-fuss Sugar Cookies from Smitten Kitchen, Deb always has the best recipes and everyone that I have made has been delicious.
These Sage Scented Shortbread Cookies sound like an interesting twist on traditional shortbread.
I am making this recipe for Sausage Stuffed Acorn Squash from Savor the Best for dinner tomorrow.
If you make the cookies above you might want to make this Winter Pasta with Mushrooms, Sausage, Walnuts and Crispy Sage.

Books
I love this book and read it every year! The Autobiography of Santa
This Christmas classic combines solid historical fact with glorious legend to deliver the definitive story of Santa Claus. For anyone who has ever wondered, you’re right to believe in him!
In this “book that deserves classic status” (The Dallas Morning News) Santa reveals his story for the first time. Nicholas (his real name) was born in the Middle Eastern Country of Lycia to wealthy parents who died when he was young. The kind people of Lycia taught him the lessons of goodness and generosity, which he began to practice as a child by sharing wealth with those in need. As a young man, Nicholas realized he possessed special abilities to distribute his presents to deserving children everywhere. And so it was that Santa broadened his gift-giving and spread his message to many others who also valued his belief in the goodness of giving.
Terrain, a great Christmas gift and a beautiful book.
Founded in a historic nursery in southeast Pennsylvania, Terrain is a nationally renowned garden, home, and lifestyle brand with an entirely fresh approach to living with nature. It’s an approach that bridges the gap between home and garden, the indoors and the outdoors. An approach that embraces decorating with plants and inviting the garden into every living space.
I cannot wait to get my copy of The Great British Baking Show: Love to Bake! It is available to preorder and a release date of December 20th. If you are looking for a great cookbook to give for Christmas, look no further than this book, it is one of my all time favorite cookbooks.
