Easter brunch is the perfect excuse to indulge in all of your sweet and savory foods, everything from ham, to quiche to cookies and cake. Are you ready? Do you have your celebration menu planned? If not today I am sharing 15 Easter brunch ideas that you might want to add to your Easter menu.
Good morning friends! It is going to be cold and rainy here the next few days and that is fine by me because I want to bake a few things for Easter. This year it is just my husband and I, again, and while I am very sad not to be seeing my family and friends I am thankful that they are all healthy and getting their vaccinations.
Is your menu planned? We are still trying to decide what to make for Easter, I am torn between brunch and dinner. Typically if we are with family we serve brunch, that way there is something for everyone, breakfast foods, lunch foods and then food for dinner if you are still hungry after all of that and the candy from your Easter basket. If you are still planning your menu here are a few things you might want to add.
Here are 15 things you might want to put on your brunch menu.
Savory Ham, Quiches and Tarts
Vidalia Onion Tart, easy and delicious! You can make your own crust or purchase one from your favorite store.
Crustless Quiche with ham, cheese or whatever else you feel like putting in.
Sweet and Spicy glazed Ham(recipe from Country Living) paired with biscuits, rolls or on its own.
Salads
Salad is always a great idea, and a wonderful accompaniment to any meal. This Blood Orange Spring Salad is perfect.
This Apple Salad with Blue Cheese and Smoked Almonds is one of my all time favorite salads.
Yogurt Parfaits and Granola
Almond Milk Panna Cotta with fresh berries.
Roasted Blueberry Yogurt Parfait
A fruit tray with a selection of berries, melon and grapes would also be perfect to eat alone or to serve with the yogurt. Add bowls or canisters of homemade granola as well.
Coffee Cakes, Cinnamon Rolls, Muffins and More
Triple Cinnamon Coffee Cake, this versatile cake is perfect for breakfast and dessert.
Cinnamon rolls are always a great idea, as are hot cross buns, but have you ever made Almond Sweet Rolls? They are so good, a cross between a bear claw pastry and a cinnamon roll. Morning Buns are a great option as well, but I would make them a few days in advance.
Blueberry muffins or scones.
All of the coffee cakes and rolls can be made ahead of your brunch and warmed up or served at room temperature.
Cookies, Candy, Cakes and More
Candy cookies and Easter Treat Board
In addition to Easter candy and cookies, you could serve a carrot cake or cupcakes, a bunny cake or a favorite fruit pie.
Drinks
We typically have a selection of sparking water, champagne, Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and juices but you could add a signature cocktail for dinner or a selection of beer, wine and soda.
The possibilities for a scrumptious family brunch are endless. Don’t overthink the menu and do not try to take on too much, prepare as much ahead of the big day as possible so that you can enjoy your Easter instead of being stuck in the kitchen. If you are having friends or family over you could ask them to bring their favorite dish as well to save you from having to prepare all of the food.
I hope that you have a wonderful week and fun preparing your Easter menu. Have a great day!
