Good morning friends, how was your weekend? Did you relax or were you busy? Did you have nice weather? Or is it still feeling like winter?
Our weekend was restful, after last week we needed it. It is a strange feeling when you loose someone(s), your pain is almost crippling and your memories of your loved one(s) so beautiful and vivid that your world seems to stop and it is hard to believe that the rest of the world is still moving forward.
Today is March first, Spring begins in 20 days, with the weather the way it has been that seems hard to believe. It also means the end of “Heart Month” but that doesn’t mean that we forget to take care of ourselves and our hearts. Make sure to get t least 7 hours of sleep a night, eat right and exercise!

I spent a lot of time on Pinterest looking at gardens, Gardening or working outside has never been one of my favorite things which is funny because as a child we had a garden and my mother loves to be in her yard planting and pruning and potting things. But over the last two years I’ve enjoyed working in the community garden at our yoga studio and last summer in my neighbors garden which we cared for while they were away for 3 weeks. Not to mention that last year we had our yard fenced in, all of the landscaping torn out and now it is a blank slate. I am thinking of a cottage garden, a little unstructured with wild flowers and lots of pollinator plants. I also want to have an herb garden and a small raised vegetable area, mostly for tomatoes and pumpkins. Although I am doing my research I am also having a landscape architect come over because this is not my forte and I am going to need all of the help I can get.
If you want to add some spring florals to your wardrobe this dress is beautiful, and so is this one.
Or if you want something for the house this table runner and this gorgeous tablecloth would look great all spring and summer long and for Easter as well.
Do you like to garden? Have you already made your gardening plans for the year? Are you starting your seedlings test or is it too soon? What will you be planting? If you have a cottage garden or any suggestions please share I would love to learn more about planting a cottage and a pollinating garden.
Have a great day friends.

I haven’t been thinking of my patio garden as enthusiastically as I normally do about this time of year. I guess it’s because of the physical problems I’m having and maybe some disillusionment with management, wondering if I’ll feel compelled to move. Oh, perish the thought of all that packing. I’m hoping to just stay here awhile anyway. I think cottage gardens are the prettiest of all. And containers mixed in.

Brenda, I hope that you do not have to move! I will pray that you get some management that can help you and your fellow tenants out. I think cottages gardens are beautiful I am just at a loss of where to start. Have a great day!
Your blog looks amazing!!!
Hi, Elizabeth! seedlings are happening over here. I have a garden tower that we began using last year that, even though we have had subzero temps, has parsley still green in it. What?! I love to garden so arugula, tomatoes, herbs of all kinds and zinnias are some of my favorites to plant. Happy Monday, friend!
I will have to get some gardening tips from you Leslie! Have a great day!
We landscaped our backyard several years ago and hired a landscape architect to draw up the plan. Best money we ever spent. We live in Southern California so I wanted a garden with a south of France feel. Boxwood parterres, citrus trees, fountain and no lawn, just gravel paths. And white flowers-roses and bougainvillea. At night it is equally beautiful. Lots of subtle lighting.
Cindylou, thank you for the information! I think it will be worth it!
Today here feels more like winter. We did have a brief thaw.
