Good morning friends! It’s Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial start to summer, and a three day weekend. It will be raining for most of the weekend but on Monday it is going to be a bright sunny day, perfect for a neighborhood bbq. Sunday we are having Lawrence for dinner and other than that I do not have anything planned. What about you? Will you be hosting a bbq or picnic? Are you off on an adventure? If so travel safe.

I have lots to share so grab your coffee, chocolate, tea or wine and settle in for a long read.

Food

I eat this Summer Berry Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette almost every day in the summer, it is easy to make and is refreshing.

If you wanted a little protein in your salad then try this Chicken Ceasar Salad it is the perfect 30 minute meal for busy weekdays or weekends.

Parmesan Crusted Chicken Cutlets are another easy addition to your cooking repertoire.

My favorite thing to make and eat at picnics and bbq’s are the desserts. These Trisha Yearwood brownies are always the first thing to go.

In case you missed it, these blueberry muffins are another family favorite and great for weekend breakfasts.

Books

I am looking forward to reading My Place at the Table.

I read The Art of Inheriting Secrets.

and The Lost Girls of Devon this week, add them to your beach bag or your summer reading pile. They are “free” to read with your Kindle Unlimited membership.

Finds

If you like blue and white chinoiserie you will like these cocktail napkins.

How cute are these whale spreaders? I have a few of these from my trips to Maine but mine are not teak like these are. The Serena & Lily sale is this week and everything is 20% off just in case you need something.

That is it for this week, I hope that you found something you enjoyed. Please share your favorite books, recipes and whatever else you discovered this week. Have a happy and safe weekend.
