Friday Favorites from Cooking for Keeps, Make Mine a Spritzer, The Cookie Rookie and More

Good Friday morning friends, how was your week? It has been a beautiful week here, the weather has felt like September and I am soaking up every minute. We were supposed to be in Arizona this week but had to cancel because of the move, and it has been well over 100 every day, I am not missing the heat but I do miss seeing our friends and family.

Pull up a chair friends, grab yourself a coffee, cocoa, tea or a glass of wine because I have lots to share this week. Enjoy!

Food

slab apple pie

The 4th of July is just around the corner and one of things I love to make for bbq’s and family parties is my grandmothers’s slab apple pie. It is basically a sheet pan apple pie and it is so good, you can skip the top crust and add a streusel topping if you prefer.

I am always looking for easy meals to make during the week and the Cookie Rookie has an entire page of easy chicken recipes, including my new favorite Spanish Chicken and Rice.

5 Ingredient Buffalo Chicken Pinewheels from Cooking for Keeps is an easy and delicious snack or appetizer.

In case you missed it this week shared the easiest No-churn Ice Cream!

I love cocktails, especially on a hot summer Friday nights and one of my favorite places for “new to me” recipes is from Juliet at Make Mine a Spritzer! Last week Juliet made Texas Ranch water and it was refreshing and delicious. If you prefer something non-alacholic, try one of these recipes.

Finds

If you will be entertaining for the 4th of July you might want to add these plates to your table.

Have you seen the new Gap Home collection? I just discovered it this week, it is available at Walmart, and I ordered this set. I will let you know how I like it once it arrives.

I love dresses and wear them all the time in the summer, I discovered this white dress at H&M and am thinking about buying it. Do any of you have this dress?

That is it for this week friends. I hope that you found something that you enjoyed! Please share any recipes, books, or whatever else that you enjoyed or discovered this week.

Have a happy and safe weekend.

Slab apple pie?! Oh my … this is my dream come true! Thanks for the mention … I’m a huge fan of newly discovered Ranch water. It will be a summer staple at our house. So many of these articles caught my eye … looking forward to working through them over the weekend. Wishing you a successful move … I know it’s hard but well worth it once you’re unpacked in your new home. Happy weekend, Elizabeth! xo
